I have a soft spot for tracks that sample or remix R&B songs (especially if they're from 90's or 2000's throwbacks). I wouldn't necessarily put all of these in the same set since they all have different vibes (or even play some out at all, if i'm being truly honest), but I love tracks like these and play them whenever I have the opportunity. This Beatport chart is a small sampling of what is available out there (as there are tons of indie tracks from Soundcloud or Bandcamp for example).

I can never seem to find tracks filtered this way while digging, so hit me up if you know of more!

*Opioid Overdose response*
The Women’s Visionary Council paired with Dr. Gantt Galloway of New Leaf Recovery Foundation to create a training video that goes over knowing how to identify an overdose and treat it with Narcan.

*Rescue Breathing*
Rescue breathing is a really important part of navigating an overdose. If the heart is working (which it does under an overdose), the person must get oxygen into their blood, no CPR is necessary.
1) Check for breathing, 2) tilt the head back to open the airway, 3) pinch the nose closed, 4) make a seal with your mouth over theirs, and 5) apply one breath every 5 seconds until assistance arrives.

Anyone in California that has an overdose and anyone that helps respond to an overdose is legally protected by The California Overdose Treatment Act AB635, which permits anyone to legally carry and administer Narcan (naloxone).

Last night's rooftop sunset Silent Disco - an after event for Clean Streets, Dirty Beats.

The set starts downtempo and shifts mood based on the energy of the attendees. First 2 minutes or so are very grainy and lo-fi, this set upload is live and raw and hasn't gone through any post-processing.

I'll be at Starline Social Club tomorrow night helping with a bass music song selection, music theory, and mixing workshop (read: bringing my gear for random workshop people to play on, in support of my burning man campmate Beat Kitty, who's flown out here from NY by way of her tour in Hawaii to teach and put on a show).

She's providing the workshop free of charge to females/female identifying folx (though it may be "sold out" by now, i'm not sure, since spots were limited). If you can't make it to that, I encourage you to check out the party starting at 10 pm.
