'This was such a great new experience! I really loved that it wasn't another 'boring zoom call' but it was interactive with so much information in a fun way. My heart melted seeing all the dog videos and it was great to be able to ask Tammy some questions. It was really well thought out! 'The Gather-event by DigiTail Network was such a great, unique experience!

People were able to explore our shelter, our dogs and our work (and the reasons for that) without having to travel to us or scrolling through endless content.

They could also learn everything about the process of adoption (incl. preparation up to transport) and how easy it actually is (with Olia and Ted as a success story to show). And all of that in a playful way, at their own speed and lead by their interests - from the comfort of their home.

I myself was able to chat with several people and to answer their questions.

To sum it up: this event is a unique possibility for shelters to present themselves and for dog lovers who want to know more about that topic. The playful, lovely structured space provides a platform, where these two groups (shelters and possible adopters) can meet, exchange information, a chat and that all face to face in a virtual space.

Time to introduce Porthos! 🐶

This good boy is only 1yo, but has already proven to the carers of Tiny Shelter Albufeira to be full of life! Poor Porthos caught the canine parvovirus when he was a pup, while his chances for survival were only 20%, he totally blew everyone away by making a full recovery! He has now turned into an energetic and super loving dog that gets along well with people and other dogs. Here’s the thing.. Porthos is up for adoption! 🤩

This is Leao! Isn’t he the cutest?! This 1.5yo male was saved from misery by the volunteers from Tiny Shelter Albufeira and has since turned into a loving and healthy dog. Leao is a bit shy, but has already shown the volunteers he’s definitely able to warm up to those who care for him. Good to know.. Leao is neutered, vaccinated, and most importantly: up for adoption! 🐶

Our mission is to raise awareness for dog shelters that are in need of help. Some need volunteers, some need donations and others just need to find homes for the dogs! Join us if you feel you can help 👇

Do you know what the best part is? We have created the first EVER digital dog park for you to meet the dogs and volunteers of this amazing shelter! No boring Zoom call or simple Facebook livestream, nope 🤩

DigiTail Network’s very own virtual dog park will be hosted on Gather and serves as an interactive platform for you to explore. Don’t worry. It’s super easy and fun to use! You can explore the park from your desktop/laptop, talk to a volunteer from Tiny Shelter and meet some of their dogs that are up for adoption. There will be lots of information shared about supporting and adopting from the shelter, and you can even talk to someone who has adopted from this amazing Portuguese shelter before... If that’s not enough, there will even be an after party by the virtual doggie pool! 🍹

PORTHOS ..he thinks that if he lies at the entrance to their box...he will be seen first.....
A surviver of Parvo , he fought for his life bravely...surprised us all that he held on...
He was in the clinic on blood transfusions and clinging to life on 3 occasions..but here he is now, healed and ready to beloved abd to give lots of love back ❤
EXTREMELY GENTLE AND a puppy still at 12 months of age.

The pilot will showcase Tiny Shelter Albufeira - a small and loving private dog shelter in Portugal. Sadly, the situation with stray dogs in Portugal is truly appalling 😢 That is why the shelter’s owner, Isabel Searle, and her amazing volunteers commit to rescuing, caring for and rehoming as many dogs as they possibly can!

We understand Albufeira might sound far away, but hear us out.. Did you know it is not necessarily more complicated or expensive to adopt a dog from another country?
