🌱 Field Diary — A Tree’s Story
April 2025
I was planted in the mountains of Cyprus, on a hillside still healing from the great fire of 2021.
They placed me gently into the soil — in honor of Grow Business Club — as a symbol of growth, resilience, and new beginnings.
At first, everything was quiet. The earth was warm, and my roots were small — searching, learning where to go.
Then came summer.
Day after day, the sun burned above +40°C 🤯
The air was dry, and the hillside had no shade — it felt like I had been planted on a heated pan left under the sun. It was unbearably hot.
My roots were still young, reaching deeper, searching for life beneath the surface. Some days felt endless… and I wondered if I would survive. But I was not alone.
Water came slowly, drop by drop. The protective cover shielded me from the harsh sun and wind. And in the hardest days of summer, the ECOmbare team returned. They brought water, care, and quiet encouragement — reminding me that I was planted here with purpose.
Autumn came. Something changed.
My roots finally reached deeper soil. I could feel the hidden moisture below. I was no longer just surviving — I was growing.
And now, 10 months after planting, I stand 70 cm taller. Stronger. Rooted. Alive 💪🏻
I grow here, on this recovering hillside, carrying the story of fire, care, and renewal —
and the spirit of those who planted me. 🌿
