Want your business to be the top-listed Event Planning Service?
With all venues currently closed, I’m sure a lot of local musicians are itching for a gig, and Wivenhoe is missing its vibrant live music scene. The Wivenhoe Lockdown Festival is presented to you by local musicians to lift everyone’s spirits during this pandemic, through a few hours of live performances. Between 1-8.30 pm, participating musicians will be playing just outside their own homes (on their front steps, through windows, from balconies, or from their garden), and will be performing 15-60 minute sets for the surrounding public. Information about locations and set times will be published as soon confirmed, to ensure everyone knows exactly who’s neighbours are playing, when, and where. We will be livestreaming most performances on www.facebook.com/wivenhoelockdownfestival , so if you’re not within earshot of the music you can still enjoy it! While I know it can be tempting to go out and get closer to the live music, it’s important everyone adheres to all social distancing rules for this event. If you pass a performance location on your daily exercise walk, please enjoy the musical walk but do not stop and listen. We must refrain from congregating, as this is against the current rules, and not in the spirit of the event ;) Questions? Message Kaly Temmink directly on Facebook, or email [email protected] . All performances are free, but we’ll also be raising money for Wivenhoe Mutual Aid, a worthy local cause - more details to follow soon! I hope everyone enjoys The Wivenhoe Lockdown Festival! X
