What an incredible fall season it's been! From smooth jazz concerts in Downtown Raleigh to apple-spiced fun at Phillips Farms in Cary and Haven in Knightdale, to the fall markets at Carolina Lakes, it's been the many smiling faces and raised glasses we've seen that have been the highlight of our busiest and most successful season yet.

Well, as it turns out, there are certain products introduced by winemakers during the fining process that make many wines off-limits for those following a plant-based lifestyle.

On Wednesday, November 13 between 5 - 8 p.m., we will open your eyes (and your palate) to the world of exceptional vegan wines at the Bubbly Plus at Haven Wine Tasting Event. We've carefully curated a lineup of vegan pours that are every bit as sophisticated and delicious as their non-vegan counterparts. Get ready to savor the crisp, refreshing notes of Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc, the rich elegance of Loveblock Pinot Noir, and the captivating charm of Summer Water Rosé. Red, White, Bubbly and Brew at 2nd Friday Artwalk at Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill
Come join us at 2nd Friday Artwalk at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill on Friday, August 9 from 6 - 9 p.m. to experience the museum's latest installation - Processing Systems: Bonding by NC artist Sherrill Roland. His interdisciplinary practice deals with concepts of innocence, identity, and community, often filtered through minimalist gestures, specific materials, and various layers of abstraction.

For more than three years, Roland's right to self-determination was lost to wrongful incarceration. He spent ten months in prison before being exonerated and returning to an artistic practice that developed into a vehicle for expression, reflection, and emotional release.

Roland is set to attend the Ackland, where he will talk about his journey and the distinctive pieces showcased in his exhibit. These works convert United States Federal and State Correctional Identification Numbers into art, utilizing system-based materials such as sudoku puzzles and number placement games to create conceptual portraits and family trees.
