Hey friends! With the event only a few days away, we wanted to take the opportunity to discuss two important aspects of this event.
First, we are using this show as an opportunity to introduce a Harm Reduction initiative to Boise events. Taking inspiration from Bass Coast Festival, Shambala Festival, Dance Safe and especially Good Night Out Vancouver, we realize that being proactive about safety is a priority. Our goal is to support positive behaviors related to s*x, consent, substance use, inclusion and general health. We will have materials related to each of these subjects as well as a full volunteer Harm Reduction Team that will be
on staff all night to make sure that everyone feels safe and welcome at our event. This is only the beginning of Harm Reduction in Boise, and we are looking forward to it becoming a priority of every show, every promoter, and every club.
Second, UNBRANDED is about the importance of culture and community. With that in mind, each event will donate all profits to an impactful non-profit organization. For this event we have chosen to donate our profits to the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence. Their work is in line with the consent aspect of our Harm Reduction program and we want to show our support of the crucial work they do in educating and protecting our community. Nightlife and club culture is a sometimes vulnerable spot for the safety of our populations and we want to shine a light directly on the importance of both acknowledging the problem and acting on it.
With your help, we can make the electronic scene in Boise a safe, welcoming, and most importantly, transformative part of our community on the front lines of social progress.
Thank you and see you Friday!
