Hi everyone!

Thinking about a date night at home this Friday but don't want it to be stressed !

Try out this simple baked Mackerel recipe with salad, flatbread, green corriander & mint chutney & Seasoned Sour cream made from yogurt.

In your noon cocktail party, would you keep the snacks light and lunch heavy or viceversa.

Well, from my experience, I have noticed that people are generally very hungry after 12.30 pm. Though you would want to keep the snacks light so the effect of drinks is strong, its a good idea to keep a lot of snack items & the lunch light especially if you want the party to really extend. Keep a gap of 3 hours between snacks and lunch.

So here is my menu for a nice noon snack with drinks party followed by a light lunch consisting of mutton biriyani & Raita.

My Tip, if you have fried stuff and chips, make sure you have a nice soft sandwich to go with or a soft wrap or just some soft bun/bread.

The second option for a drink is a Mojito.

However, have either a Mojito or a Mimosa and one Sangria for the day and keep other mixers and drinkers as is, so people can have what they please.

For a party upto 6 people, 2 drinks are more than enough.

Hi All!

Want to know the Top 5 Party Mis-Haps ! Some can be avoided and some are unavoidable. For the unavoidable one though you can always have some disaster management strategies.

1. Running out of cutlery and spoons - This has happened to me many times. For some reason, I end up running out of spoons. The best thing to do is to count the spoons and keep 4 extra for every occasion.

2. Running around stressed out- This is definitely avoidable if you plan everything. With my upcoming party handbook, you will be the most relaxed host

3. Wine spills - Keep the Wine spill spray remover handy at all times

4. Guests puking - Ouch !! Always have buckets and rest room & disindectant sprays prepared for that

5. Under or overcooked food- Do not prepare dishes that you have not tried before. And this always happens with frying. Make sure, perfectly know what you are cooking.

So, now that I know I have 6 guests coming for a lunch and there is enough space on the dining table, I am going to go for lunch on dining table format.

Now there are 2 elements of setting the Dining table

1. Laying the Food on table
2. Setting up the crockery

Since my menu is going to have 6-7 dishes, I will go for a minimalistic table set up.

What ideas am I going to take from this PIN

1. The simple pastel colored table cloth
2. Matching Napkins
3. White or white with light bordered plates

These is a nice way to set up the table and you really don't need the table mats if you have a nice and strong table cloth. You do not need to add any flowers and candles as there is going to be plenty of food to enhance the look.
