The adorable children walking down the aisle are one of the most talked about parts of the wedding. However these tiny supporting cast members will need some help being kept happy and occupied so that they do not cause disruptions during these sacred moments.

Here are my 3 tips to manage your ring bearer and flower girls during the ceremony.
1.Sleep and feed
I cannot stress this point enough. The wedding day is going to be an unusual day for them with lots of people and stimuli happening around them at one time. Being tired and/or hungry will make all the difference in the way that they cope with everything going on.
2. Appoint a person
Someone in your wedding party that will be standing can keep the little one standing in place and as quiet as possible while the ceremony is taking place. Or have a person to hand them off to in the front row that can keep them from getting restless while waiting for the nuptials to conclude.
3. Hidden Snacks
Place a small ziplock bag with mini marshmallows ( or any non messy or loud snack) in it in the bottom of the flower girl basket, or make a secret compartment in the pillow. This will keep them happy and quiet for a little while hopefully long enough to finish saying I DO!

Pro #1 is obvious. It’s Beautiful!
Beach settings are absolutely stunning. Outdoor settings are particularly beautiful and make for perfect photos!
Pro #2 It’s a Covid Conscious Option
This is a good option if you are looking to have a socially distant gathering. With 2021 on the horizon and no one knowing what the future holds, it’s a very big pro for the brides who would like to marry especially in the Spring/Summer months.
Pro #3 Space is abundantly available
With an indoor venue there is a finite amount of space. But at the beach (or any other outdoor event) Guests can comfortably spread out and without restriction of walls.
Con #1 Mother Nature
The most obvious con with a beach wedding is the weather! Not only are you going to hope it doesn’t rain, but setting up and battling the wind is always something to consider when contemplating a beach wedding.
Con #2 Guest accessibility
If you have someone in your family that may have limited mobility, walking on sand may prove to be a very difficult task.
Con #3 is more of a suggestion. Walking in sand with heels 👠 is not most people’s favorite thing. A barefoot beach ceremony is incredibly comfortable for everyone!
