We can’t resist but to provide a little bit of signature cocktail inspo on such a glorious holiday… National Margarita Day, celebrated each year on February 22nd.

We see a lot of margaritas served at Texas weddings and nothing is more fun than having a creatively crafted margarita curated as one of your signature cocktails🧂🍋‍🟩

Our favorites we have seen served up at the bar include…

-The College Sweetheart: “the Aggie-Rita”, “Hook ‘Em Horns Mango Margarita”, or my personal fave “The Spicy Spartan” (Go Green 💚)

-The Pet Signature Margarita: A special margarita matching the color of the couple’s furry four-legged friend 🐕

-The Punny Margarita: What can we say… we live for a good wedding pun 💍

-Seasonal Refreshing Signature Margaritas: Bring on the seasonal fruit, especially on a hot Texas summer day 🍉

February is the month of love… which also means it’s the month of the love letter 💌✍️

Everyone always adores a heartfelt note and we absolutely cannot get enough of it when couples choose to write handwritten thank you notes to each of their wedding guests.

Check out this adorable mailbox setup we created for a past couple who wanted to complete the task of writing a special note to all of their guests.

We now have added this to our rental collection. We call this the “P.S We Love You Wall” which includes the A-Z mailboxes for those alphabetized guest notes, the glass shelf for the mailboxes to sit on, the P.S. We Love You sign, and a customized mailbox with the couple’s last names for the gift table. 📫

To cut the cake or not cut the cake? That seems to be a popular wedding planning question these days. The classic tradition of cutting a massive wedding cake in front of all of your guests isn’t always the go-to norm on a wedding timelines anymore. Instead, we are often seeing these alternatives…

1️⃣ Cut a small personal cake, while serving something else totally yummy to your guests. This way, you get those traditional photos, but there are other dessert options for your guests.

2️⃣ “Cut” or “feed each other” something that isn’t cake. Who says it has to be cake? How about a slice of pie, a spoonful of gelato or ice cream, a chicken & waffle late-night snack, or cake served in a different form like a cake parfait!

3️⃣ Some couples are even choosing to skip the announcement and have the cake not front and center for a private cutting. Have a moment and surprise your guests when cake appears without them realizing it!

As we often say, there is not right or wrong way of doing this. We encourage our couples to do what they feel most comfortable with and prioritize what attentional moments they want to include on their special day. If a cake cutting isn’t your style, it’s ok to think outside of the box 🍰

One aspect of being a planner that I always love is seeing a client’s color scheme vision turn into a reality. These caramel and amber tones with touches of blush were absolutely stunning for a springtime wedding.

Lindsey looked incredible in her off-the-shoulder gown and her Hollywood-style curls & red lipstick done by . Brandon rocked the navy blue suit as well!
