She will lay in her bed and watch movies while I design. She inspects the new inventory (occasionally shredding a flower or two). But most importantly, she gives me all the snuggles after long design days and she's the perfect excuse to take a break from designing and go for a walk. 🐾

I wouldn't be able to do this floral gig of mine if it weren't for my husband. He's always helping prep flowers, pack up the vehicle, figuring out logistics for installs, and cleaning up after the mess of a wedding. Love him so much. 🥰

Last month I got to do an install at the Sioux City Convention Center and we turned it into a lush garden - full of roses and color. I love being able to repurpose pieces from the ceremony to the reception because it provides a cohesive experience for your guests and you get the best bang for your buck.

For this wedding, the pieces that lined the aisle were repurposed on pedestals as centerpieces for the reception. Love when we can kill two birds with one stone. 🥰

I took some extra time off from my full time job this week so I'm also going to set aside Simple Stems for the week to rest and recharge. I'll catch up on social media, emails, etc. on 7/8! 🤍

I have this note on my fridge to always remind me of the impact and joy I get to bring to so many people on the most important day of their lives. My job truly is a gift and I don't take it for granted. My brides really are the sweetest and I love them so much.

Free Spirit Rose: Nature's perfect example of an ombre. Pink outer petals perfectly turn into a peachy orange center that's straight out of a dream. She's a go-to rose of mine because she's hearty and big - easily 4-6 inch diameter. 🥰
