The joy radiating from their faces is a reflection of their love, but also a reflection of a relaxed couple on their wedding day. Why? Because they hired an awesome wedding coordinator (tute tute, pat pat)! Our bride plans and organizes for a living, and she was wise enough to know that she can't be a bride and run a wedding at the same time. Hiring a wedding coordinator gave her the space to be present and enjoy the day with those she loves. Don't be a hero! Hire a wedding coordinator! Or better yet, hire a planner to help you from start to finish.

Memories of weddings past!

A gorgeous Spring wedding ceremony at Central Park, followed by the reception at City Winery. The bride carried a stunning Spring pastel bouquet with premium peonies, garden roses, lisianthus and ranunculus. The reception decor featured beautiful table scapes of low Spring pastel arrangements and candles, adding beauty and lightness to the space.

Love that my clients chose a guestbook option that is both meaningful and functional. Guests highlighted their favorite Bible verses and left messages in the notes section and margins. Jeffrey and Rosario have a deep commitment to their faith. So this guestbook is something that will be used!

Traditional paper guestbooks left on coffee tables have become obsolete as many move away from paper and embrace minimal lifestyles. Confession: I don't have a coffee table. Probably because I don't drink coffee lol! And the less furniture I have, the less I have to clean.

If you choose to do a guestbook, it should reflect you!

Swipe left for some fun alternatives to a traditional paper guestbook including:

- video guestbook for some visual interest. There are companies you can hire who set up the booth and edit the footage for you. Or you can buy a tripod, borrow a phone, and DIY!

- audio guestbooks are all the rage giving a cool vintage look to new technology. Your friends and family can leave voice notes for you and your spouse to listen to and enjoy.

- And for you gamers out there: consider having your guests write notes on a custom puzzle, Jenga blocks, etc. so that you can remember your special day every time you play.

Happy 1 year anniversary to this amazing couple . This wedding will always be etched in mind and heart. I planned this wedding from start to finish in under 2 months! That type of intense planning requires spending lots of time with the client. Hiba and Zhi were such a joy to work with! I'm truly glad to know them. I'm a fantastic wedding planner but my true gift is attracting awesome clients!

Our groom sported monogrammed cufflinks, while the bride added some bling to her purse and jacket with her new last name. My favorite piece is the throwback photo of dad and daughter that the father of the groom wore underneath his tie.

Last week my husband and I celebrated 12 years of marriage.

While I am anxiously waiting to plan the wedding of your dreams, I want to take this opportunity to remind you thar investing in your relationship is more important than wedding planning! A few tips for wedding planning season:

1) Plan a date night once a week where you unplug (no phones!), and commit to NOT talking about wedding plans. This way you can remember why you are spending all this time and money: you get to marry the awesome person sitting beside you!

2) Attend pre-martital counseling sessions with a professional. They will help you flesh out your expectations as a married couple and help navigate the inevitable communication challenges.

3) Find a seasoned married couple (that's not family), who are committed to championing and encouraging you in your marriage. A neutral person you can talk to when things get tough.

4) Remember that the most important part of your wedding day is marrying the love of your life. Don't sweat the small stuff. If your partner shows up and says yes, your already have a successful event.

5) Hire a wedding planner or coordinator (I do both!), so you can ensure your wedding day goes smoothly.

Hello all! With so many new followers, it feels like a good time to reintroduce myself:

My name is Samantha Jasmin (yes Jasmin is my last name). I am a wife, mother of 3, NYC native, and lover of weddings.

For the last 15 years, I have voluntarily planned and executed concerts, birthday parties, baby & bridal showers, church retreats, and PTA fundraiser events. During the pandemic, I enjoyed connecting people to their loved ones across the country creating fun, engaging, virtual events.

Weddings are a wonderful opportunity to honor traditions AND to create your own. Brides: if your best friend is a guy, have him stand by your side! Grooms: if (in this case) your sister means the world to you, she should be in your corner, literally! I tell my clients, there is no right or wrong. Its your wedding! Every choice, traditional vs eclectic, should be meaningful to you as a couple.

One of the great things about working around NYC is the access to so many awesome cultures and religions. Lanterns are staples in Moroccan weddings (representing our bride). The "double happiness" characters and red cash envelopes are Chinese traditions (representing the groom).
