Introducing Niamh O Gorman 🎉

Coming from small village called Killavullen in North Cork and moving here to Vancouver over a year ago. Niamh’s family all play and sing so Irish trad tunes and songs could always be heard in her house. Her father has been playing country music gigs since as long as she can remember so it was no wonder that her and her siblings all grew up to play and sing themselves. Niamh’s brothers were in a Rebel band when she was young called “Purple Shamrocks”so that’s when her love began for love the Irish music scene.

Music has opened up the door to many opportunities to perform in various venues around Ireland and Europe and most recently Vancouver. Niamh picked up playing the guitar over the years from her brothers and started singing and accompanying herself soon after. If there was ever a sing-song at home or in the local pub, she was in the thick of it!

Since moving to Vancouver, Niamh has been working as a Primary School teacher and Music teacher and she play here in the Irish pubs any chance she gets!

Niamh can play a mix of Irish and contemporary songs but she said you can’t beat the way the Irish rebel songs get the crowd going!

Introducing Pat Chessell 🎉

Canadian-born musician of Irish descent, began his musical career as a teenager, performing with Danny Burns of the legendary Irish rebel band The Wolfhound. Over the years, Pat honed his craft, training with renowned musicians John Doyle and Aoife Clancy, daughter of Bobby Clancy of the Clancy Brothers. His dedication to the craft earned him a nomination for Traditional Singer of the Year at the 2022 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Pat has opened for notable acts such as Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones, Sharon Shannon, and The Paperboys. He has released five albums, which have received airplay in Canada, the United States, Ireland, and Scotland, solidifying his place in the folk music world. Over the years, he has become a prominent figure in the Canadian folk scene, known for his powerful vocals and heartfelt songwriting. Pat’s music reflects his rich heritage, blending traditional Irish influences with contemporary folk sounds.

All of us here at Amadán Promotions want to wish the Senior men’s team at St. Finnians the very best of luck ahead of the Vancouver GAA finals tomorrow.

We are all immensely proud of your achievements this season and we look forward to you bringing home the trophy 🏆

Vancouver Senior Men’s Football Championship Final 🏐
Our Senior team will be in action this Saturday against ISSC in the final of the Championship. The lads have had a great campaign so far this year and qualified for final after a semi final win over Fraser Valley Gaels last week.
This will be the Senior Men’s 5th appearance in a row in this final, well done to the lads and management on this great achievement and we wish them the very best of luck.
Throw in time is 3pm at Burnaby Lakes, so make sure to get out and cheer the lads on 💪
