I recently got to swim in a HUGE tank at Merfest International. It was so much fun and I learned a lot. I found out I’ve come a long way but also that I have a long way to go.

I want to help spread magic and allow others to escape from the mundaneness of everyday human life. I hope as I take this path one fin at a time I can help bring smiles and just a little bit of wonder to your lives. As always… lots of bubble kisses!

As I near my 3 year anniversary with fins I started thinking about where I started, where I’m at and where I want to go. Then I started thinking about how much this world and those in it have helped me grow. This community is my family and has taught me more than I could ever imagine.

So now it’s my turn. Here’s a little advice from a mermaid.

Did you know styrofoam takes 500+ years to decompose? Or what about plastic straws? They take roughly 200 years to break down! And all these pollutants are covering our wildlife and beaches… but you can help!!

This Saturday at the Indiana Dunes in Portage, IN Mermaid Straw is having their second clean up of the season!!! Stop by between 9am and 11am and help us pick up our local beach and keep Lake Michigan clean and safe for all wildlife! And feel free to bring the whole family! I heard a mermaid or two may be stopping by as well!! ♥️🧜🏼‍♀️

Earth day is quickly approaching and what better way to celebrate than to help clean up our beautiful planet?! 🌎

For anyone free Friday morning feel free to swim on by the Indiana Dunes in Portage to help out at the first Mermaid Straw beach clean up of the season! You might even see a mermaid or two while you’re there! Hope to sea you on the beach! 🏖

Our first cleanup of 2022 is almost here!!
Join us next Friday the 22nd of April for our Annual Earth Day Cleanup! 💙🌎

You can participate from anywhere in the world by heading out with your family & friends to your local park, beach, or your own neighborhood to pick up trash and help us this Earth Day.

Or, if you are local to Northwest Indiana, you can join us IRL at the Indiana Dunes National Park as we partner with the Indiana Dunes National Park, Indiana Dunes, Friends of Indiana Dunes, Inc., and Valparaiso University Earthtones for a park wide cleanup.

Please go to the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center at 9am to sign in. The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94. Then head down to Porter Beach where our team will be set up for the beach cleanup.

At the beach, we will have our BRAND NEW CLEANUP VAN 😍 and our tent set up with:
* FREE Iced Coffee from FLUID Coffee Roasters - Downtown Valparaiso
* FREE Dessert from Designer Desserts-Valparaiso
* FREE Alani Nu Energy Drinks from Indiana Beverage
* FREE water refills from Coastal Valley Water Company
* AND each volunteer will receive a FREE Mermaid Straw as a thank you for participating 🥰

Each participant will also receive a pair of protective reusable gloves and a Mermaid Straw reusable cleanup bag.

It’s officially posted!!!!!! Mermaid Straw has released their 2022 schedule for the beach clean ups!

If you haven’t heard about Mermaid Straw no worries! But let me tell you, you’ll never regret getting to know them! They’re a small company in Valparaiso, Indiana that has helped change the world for the better!!! They make and sell the cutest reusable drink ware, straws, and utensils for any style and vibe! Feeling like a rainbow? They got ya covered! Wanna be a dark and mysterious siren? Check! What about something cool in the middle? Double check!
