Listening to a podcast this morning and the subject was waiting. How waiting can be habit-forming, how waiting can hold us back, how the habit of waiting keeps us from our full potential.
Made me think.
I've been reluctant to get the Jackrabbit message out in the world because I didn't want to be affiliated with Covid. It wasn't the genesis for my business and I was concerned it would limit Jackrabbit's potential so I...waited. And waited. But Covid seems like it's settling in for a bit so how long do I wait?
More thinking.
My concerns with Covid possibly over-shadowing my business philosophy are valid but might I have been waiting for other reasons too? Might pioneering a new way to think about weddings be intimidating? Yup. Might the fear of failure be intimidating? Oh yeah. Is waiting easier than taking a risk? Without question.
Still thinking.
Waiting is safe...and boring...and self-sabotaging. If this crazy time has taught us anything, let it be that life is short and precious and to let a single second go by not living it to the fullest is the real failure. It's time to take a look around. Take stock and take a chance. Is there something, somewhere or someone you have been waiting on?
Time to rethink?
