Rainbow is an international award-winning Newcastle-based burlesque artist, teacher and producer. With more than 10 awards under her belt, Rainbow’s achievements include Winner of the 2017 Burlesque Idol Australian Grand Final, 2019 Miss Burlesque ACT, 2019 Miss Classic in the Mx Burlesque Australia competition and recent headliner of the Australian Burlesque Festival.
As a woman over the age of 45, Rainbow regularly breaks the limiting barriers of ageism, sexism and conventional beauty standards through her art. She believes that happiness and joy are most rebellious acts. Using dance, st******se and the frustrations of her life, she pokes fun at herself in her acts, bringing her rage to the stage, creating joy-filled works designed to lift the spirits of the audience, helping them rebel against the drudgery of the day.
Rainbow regularly performs around Australia having graced the stages of the BOLD Festival, I AM WXMXN, Big Thick Energy, and Le Carnivale, among others; and is a founding cast member of where she plays fan-wielding villain, Lord F. When not performing she can be found teaching the brunch-dance hour of power, Brunchercize in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Canberra or producing burlesque shows including Coastal Cabaret and Shakedown Cabaret!
