Have you been struggling over a big wedding decision? Maybe you really need to nail down how many guests but you’re worried about what the great aunts will think. Maybe you can’t pick everyone for the wedding party and you have an alternative but you worried it might upset people.

Here is your permission to do what you want. Of course there may be one or two things you really have to stick to because it’s important to you that a tradition is upheld even though it’s not your thing. Buuuuuuut…

Sometimes you just have to be a little selfish and do what you want or need to do, and that’s okay.

You aren’t going to make everyone happy anyway so you may as well just make the decision to do it how you need and want it done and move on.

The world won’t end. After all, it’s your day, not theirs. Just do it!

You have so much to plan, purchase, and so many people to please. But remember that it is OKAY to take it slow. It is OKAY to block out the noise and do things YOUR WAY.

Trying to decide whether to use a band or a DJ? Here are a couple things to consider!

First, take a moment to think about the vibe and atmosphere you want to create. Bands can bring a lively and interactive experience, while DJs offer a wide range of music styles.

Secondly, consider your budget and space availability. Bands generally cost more but can bring a live performance element. Meanwhile, DJs are typically more affordable and require less space.

Finally, think about your personal preferences and what will make you and your guests the most excited.

Repeat after me:

A well-planned timeline will make your wedding day run smoothly and flow in all the best ways!

It’s often the last detail that I see couples try to throw together at the last minute. *welp*

But after doing this for 12 plus years I am here to tell you that the timeline is THE key to a successful day! Don’t throw it together at the last minute.

Really take the time to think about how you want the day to go, the order, the amount of time you want to spend on certain things, timeframes for vendor set ups, how you need your day to flow so you feel good and your guests feel good!

And if you are having trouble let’s chat! Because if you aren’t clear about your timeline and expectations how is anyone else going to be? Happy planning!

Who says you have to stay local for your wedding day?!

Look, I love a local wedding but sometimes it just makes sense to take the leap into a destination wedding that’s intimate and unique. Here are a couple of my favorite destinations:

1. Beach: A beach wedding is definitely a classic when it comes to destination weddings but who doesn’t love a beach wedding at sunset?!

2. Romantic European Charms: European destination weddings are becoming extremely popular these days! People just love the history and old architecture! Castle weddings are especially popular.

3. Nature: For nature lovers, mountain landscapes and deserts make the perfect wedding and are an incredible choice!

4: Cabin: A fantastic way to keep your destination lowkey is a beautiful cabin

Dealing with missing RSVPs? Don't stress!

I get this question a lot!

Jenna: So, and so hasn’t responded, what do I do?!

Here's your guide to gracefully manage the situation and ensure your event goes off without a hitch:

1. Follow Up Politely: If the deadline passes and you haven't received RSVPs, send a gentle reminder. A quick text or email is sufficient. Chances are they lost the invitation, are moving, or focused on big life things!

2. Reach Out for Confirmation Closer to the Wedding: If you are a month from the wedding or closer contact those who haven't responded. Don’t be afraid to call or have someone in your friend/family group reach out and manage the RSVP’s! I would suggest calling directly and saying something like “Hey, we are just trying to finalize everything! It’s okay if you can’t make it but I never received your RSVP and wanted to double check it didn’t get lost in the mail!.”

3. Stay Adaptable: Whatever the reason, some folks won’t RSVP and they won’t show up and others will show up without an RSVP. It’s hard and can feel disrespectful but take it from me, try to let it go and be prepared with a few extra place settings.

Remember, the RSVP process is just one part of your event journey. Stay positive and adaptable and remember it probably has to do more with them than you!
