David Bowie, a homosexual,. was arrested in 1976 for a drug possession charge at a hotel. It was not publicized that Bowie spent 10 months in jail and served 2 years probation. During his imprisonment, furlow and probation Bowie spent his conviction time writing poetic and gay-inferred lyrics and developing music.
