Everyone probably knows my grandpa was my biggest inspiration for photography. He always had a camera in hand, capturing everything and everyone around him. When he passed, he left behind hundreds of thousands of physical photographs—memories frozen in time. But you know what stood out to me most? As much as he loved photography, he wasn’t in all that many of the pictures himself. Yet, those ones of him are treasures. They remind me how important it is to exist in photos, not just behind the camera.

And then there’s Lauren. When my friend Lauren was tragically taken from us, the first thing I did was search for her photos. I went through her accounts, old messages, everything I could find. I stared at the pictures—of her, of us together, of her with her family. It was gut-wrenching, but those images also brought a bittersweet comfort. They took me back to our shared moments, the laughter, the love.

Photographs are important.

We don’t like to think about losing our loved ones, but the truth is, life is fleeting. And while we can’t stop time, we can capture it.

Take the photos. Be in the photos. For your family, for your friends, for yourself. It doesn’t matter if your hair isn’t perfect, your outfit isn’t what you’d hoped, or you’re not at your “ideal” weight. None of that matters. What matters is that you are there.

Your loved ones won’t care about those imperfections. When you’re gone, they’ll care about the memories you left behind, the smiles you shared, and the pieces of you they can hold onto in a photograph.

I always encourage booking professional photography sessions when you can. I truly believe I’ve made my services affordable and accessible because I want everyone to have that opportunity. But even if you don’t hire me, please—take the picture.

Over the next few days I will be reaching out to anyone who has shown interest in our monthly subscription program (I have 5 with payments sent and contracts in, remember I’ll be cutting it off at 20 people MAX for monthly) and brand rep programs(still need quite a few to make this program complete) and anyone who got a photo session with us in 2024 to be sure they have their images downloaded and secure before I revamp the galleries and website in preparation for 2025!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has shown me support in this journey especially the last few months. We’ve made my dreams come true. I spent the last few days navigating life in the studio and working LONG days and nights to capture and deliver so many beautiful family photos before Christmas.

Tomorrow I would absolutely love for more people to stop by for our soft opening, check out the space and get a handful of pictures while you are there! The magic of the greenhouse has come to a close for the year, and we’re officially settling into the studio! 🎄✨ We’re excited to continue capturing beautiful Christmas memories for families and can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store. Here’s to creating more moments you’ll cherish forever! 📸❤️

Gratitude Overflowing

As this year winds down, I’m taking a moment to reflect on an extraordinary month for both Creative Peak and myself personally.

In just the past few weeks, I’ve:

✨ Hosted 48 incredible photo sessions
✨ Photographed a 3-hour event, delivering over 100 heartfelt images
✨ Hosted a full Santa day filled with joy and memories
✨ Opened the greenhouse for several Pay What You Can rentals, making beautiful moments accessible to more people
✨ Transformed an old school classroom into a stunning studio space in under two weeks—and opened it!

And through it all, I’ve also made my own health a priority, losing 7 lbs and feeling so much better, mentally and physically.

This morning, I had this overwhelming moment where it all hit me—the gratitude, the growth, and the success I’ve dreamed of finally taking shape. I’m humbled, honored, and filled with so much joy to be doing what I love while serving my community.

The next 3-4 days will still be busy with:
💫 17 more sessions to photograph and edit
💫 Attending a small event as a photographer
💫 Hosting a soft opening with a tip-based service day at the new studio

But I’m looking forward to the moments of celebration and reflection after Christmas, planning some fun, training sessions, and capturing memories with my amazing team as we set the vision for Creative Peak 2025!

To everyone who has supported me—my clients, my team, my family, and friends—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am beyond grateful for each and every one of you who makes this dream possible.

Here’s to what’s been an unforgettable year and to everything that’s ahead! ❤️
