Hello sweeties, long time no see:)

We’re very happy to invite you to a talk with graphic designer and movie director Peter van Langen, who’s operating at the intersection of music, culture and art. The topics of the talk will be on how and why nightclubs and dance floors function as platforms of resistance against the oppression and violence, that the q***r community face. The talk will also touch on the historical perspective on dance floors from the past that have been fundamental for q***r underground nightlife with a specific focus on Georgian club Bassiani.
In addition, the talk will include a film screening of Peter’s short documentary ‘Midnight Frontier’ from 2020. The documentary tells the story of activists that stand at the frontline of LGBTQI+ activism in Georgia, and how Bassiani, and their q***r nights Horoom Nights, form their fort of resistance to homophobic violence. The documentary won ‘Best LGBT Short Documentary’ at New Renaissance Film Festival in 2020.

We’re super happy and excited to bring Peter to Copenhagen for this talk and we hope to see a lot of cute faces:)

Rut meyersson is a Producer & DJ and one of the founders of the label Hörz Audio.

For the Stockholm scene Rut is no newbie, continuously playing at some of the major clubs in Sweden as well as the flourishing underground club scene. Her productions are just like her djing eclectic but grounded in 909 house, acid and breakbeats where articulated baselines cuts through the soundstage. She is also known for her parties such as Skogshuset, Abra Kadabra and Wax wednesday hosting djs Cinthie, Anil Aras, Mr Tophat and many more. She made her danish debut at Kune Festival this year.
