This post is a couple days late, but WWC was BUSY this past weekend! Here's your recap....

🐾 Saturday, the Western Middle School team traveled to Converse for the Oak Hill Middle School Invitational. Our middle school team showed out with 11 Panthers in the finals! As a team, they brought home a combined 15 podium finishes including 6 champions and 5 runners-up!! 💪🏼

🐾 Also on Saturday, 3 of our Lady Panther Wrestlers traveled to Southport High School to compete in the Indiana Frosh-Soph State Championships. A big congratulations to Ava Roe on her 2nd place finish, Shaylee Walker on her 5th place finish and Addi Cline, DNP. Great job ladies!! 🖤

🐾 Sunday, we had 6 middle school wrestlers travel again to Southport after qualifying to compete in the Indiana Grade School State Championships. Of the 6 wrestlers, 4 made it to the podium. A huge congratulations to Jack Hyman, 2025 Grade School State Champion! 🏆Lucian Dickison came home 3rd, Casen Martin 4th and Emmett Dinn 5th. Eli Shue and Rolland Brittain also had great showings!

🐾 Lastly, THE RUMBLE. Oh, what a day we had!! 51 Western wrestlers SHINED on those mats. Kids were able to showcase all of the hard work they've put in this season in front of a packed hometown crowd. We are so proud of each and every one of them. As we've said before, the future of this program is so bright!!! 🤩

2️⃣6️⃣7️⃣ wrestlers joined us today at our 2025 WWC Rumble!! Their families and coaches all showed up in a BIG way and we couldn’t be more grateful! We completed 405 bouts in about 4.5 hours!!!! 💪🏼 A huge thank you to our officials, volunteers, trainer, SRO, custodians, sponsors, WWC board members, coaches, wrestlers and sooooo many more individuals who made today possible. Most of all, thank you Western High School for once again allowing us to host our season’s largest fundraiser in your gymnasium. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your ongoing partnership. 🐾

Oh, and can we also talk about the talented wrestlers we have in the area?!? 🤩 The future looks bright, that’s for sure!

🚨 WESTERN WRESTLING FAMILIES 🚨

If you signed up to bring any non-perishable items for the hospitality room, laptops or other equipment, you may drop items off tonight between 5-7pm. If you have food items that need refrigerated, please bring in the morning. Preferably, please have all hospitality room donations dropped off tomorrow by 8am.

We are still in need of a few hospitality room items such as veggie trays, a box of chips, ice and cream/sugar for the coffee. If you can help us out last minute, it would be greatly appreciated!! Link below.

We're excited to welcome Beverly Ann's Cookie Truck to the WWC Rumble for the first time! What's not to love about freshly baked, warm cookies.... especially after making weight!!! 🤣 Look for her to arrive on Sunday around 11am to get your cookie fix!! 🐾

Tonight, we hosted a family dinner to honor the memory of Ingrid Skinner, Tommy’s mother who passed away prior to this season. Tommy said, “she would’ve loved this.” We did too. 🖤🤍🖤🤍
