Tonight’s the night!!! 💪🏼 Meet us there!!! 🐾

💥💥 The Western Wrestling Club would like to encourage everyone to come out and cheer on the Western Girls Wrestling Team at their first home meet!

On Wednesday, November 20th, the Western Lady Panthers will take on the Rochester Zebras. In order to celebrate the first home meet of the girls wrestling team's inaugural season, THE FIRST 25 WESTERN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH A VALID STUDENT ID OR STUDENT ALL SPORTS PASS WILL RECEIVE A FREE COMMEMORATIVE SHIRT!! 🤩🤩

Cost of admission is $7, CASH ONLY. Students should enter through door 2 to receive a shirt. Doors open at 5:15pm and wrestling starts at 6:30pm.

For those who are interested in checking out the results of the Western High School Girls Wrestling team, the IHSAA Girls Wrestling events are using the USA Wrestling platform this year. Go to www.usabracketing.com and follow the steps to create an account. You can then search for events and view brackets from there.

Online orders are in! You can swing by the girls practice room (entrance 4) today from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM and grab your items. If you’d like to porch pick up over the weekend, please message the page. Otherwise, there will be another pick up scheduled at the school next week.

Western Wrestling Club supports and promotes all aspects of the sport of wrestling at Western School Corporation. The club works to encourage education, morale, spirit and financial support in order to ensure ongoing improvements to the the youth, middle school and high school programs. We’d love to have you join us and learn about the sport we all love!

If your son or daughter is a Western student in grades K - 5th and would like to give the sport a try, visit our website where you’ll find all of the information about club under the “news” section. You’ll also find the direct link to register under “available programs.”

Mitchell Betz face-off!

Some of our WWC Lady Panthers putting in work and sending their best wishes to our Western Middle School Team. WMS Panthers take on a tough Eastern team tonight at 6pm in Greentown. Let’s go Panthers! 🐾

A whopping 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ boys and girls filled the Western wrestling room tonight between the two sessions of our annual Western Wrestling Clinic! ONE HUNDRED pint-sized Panthers came to learn about the sport and let me just tell you… the future of Western Wrestling is bright! 🤼‍♂️😎🐾🤼 A huge thank you 🙏🏼 goes out to all of our coaches, our high school wrestling team, and even one of our favorite officials for taking the time to pour into these kids. What do ya say we do it again tomorrow night?! 💪🏼 #westernwrestlingclinic #warpanthers #futurechamps

Eastern Friendship Meet

Nearly 6️⃣0️⃣ pint-sized Panthers showed up to get some well earned mat time at our first friendship meet of the season. Some had never wrestled before and others were more experienced, but EVERYONE showed up and gave it their all! 💪🏼 Most importantly, we had a lot of fun and grew in the sport 🤼‍♀️🤼‍♂️ Thank you parents, coaches, Greentown Wrestling Club for hosting, and even our Western High School and middle school wrestlers who came by to show their support! 🐾 🗓️ Next up: Tri-Central on 1/20/23. Details to follow.

📍 USA Girls Midwest Nationals, Indianapolis Chloe & Jakk Johnson competed today in an incredibly tough tournament. Chloe’s first tournament back since a shoulder injury early this year and wrestling in the 16U age group while still 13. Chloe placed second losing to a girl from Georgia in the finals. Let me tell you about Jakk..she didn’t wrestle very long today IN HER FIRST EVER MATCHES but it wasn’t for lack of trying. Jakk wrestled one of the best girls in the USA first match then wrestled a Wisconsin state 3rd placer!
