We didn’t even really budget for a videographer, but my sister convinced me to keep looking. Today we FINALLY purchased our dream photo booth from the United Kingdom! And, even more exciting news, it will be here early next year!!

So, what does that mean?! It means we are officially booking our photo booth out for 2022 weddings and events!

WEDDING PLANNING TIPS!

For those of you who don’t know, we are a newly engaged couple ourselves! So, as wedding videographers + photographers AND a newly engaged couple, we know exactly how intense it can be while figuring out how to even start your wedding/elopement planning.

So, here are a few of our favorite tips from the perspective of your potential wedding videographers + photographers 😉

1. If you’re struggling to figure out what times to have your photographers/videographers arrive and leave your event, always remember to book them longer in the beginning of the day than the end. At the start of the wedding day, there are so many special moments to capture like getting readies, details, first looks, family portraits, etc. However, the back half of the event tends to get a bit repetitive with dancing at the reception. If your budget only allows for 6 to 8 hours for a 10 hour wedding, we’d suggest a faux send off instead of having us arrive later in the day.

2. Make sure your DJ does not use red lights or flashing lights during the dancing part of your reception. Red and flashing lights distort camera quality, so make sure those capturing your special day have about an hour to photography/film everyone’s amazing dance moves before those disco lights go wild.

3. Make sure you know who your photographers and videographers are before the event. Many photographers and videographers will book freelancers to fill in for them if they already have a booking for your wedding date. Those freelancers will photography/film your wedding day, but will often hand over their footage to be edited by the person you originally hired. So, make sure to ask who will be the person there on your special day and, if it is a freelancer, ask to see their portfolio before booking.
