The third day of the celebrations marked a significant Cultural Evening in honor of India's 77th Independence Day. The event was a collaboration between the Indian Army and the local authorities. Notable attendees included Chief Guest Shri Tsering Tashi, MLA of Tawang, Guest of Honour Maj General A.K Singh SM, and Brig VS Rajput SM, Commander 190 MTN BDE. Rinchin Leta, Incharge Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, was also present at the event.

The event aimed to celebrate the spirit of India's independence and pay tribute to the contributions of individuals who played a crucial role during the 1962 Indo-China war. Nine such individuals were recognized and honored for their unwavering dedication to both the Indian Army and society as a whole. They were presented with certificates of appreciation and mementos as tokens of gratitude.

Another highlight of the evening was when Shri Tsering Tashi, the MLA of Tawang, took the stage to felicitate officials from eight different states. He acknowledged their presence with local hampers from Tawang, showcasing the rich culture and heritage of the region.

The cultural diversity of India was on full display during the event. Cultural performances from Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh added a vibrant and dynamic touch to the celebration. The audience was treated to energetic performances by the Gorkha group of the Indian Army, adding a sense of patriotic fervor to the evening. Additionally, two local renowned singers took the stage and mesmerized the crowd with their soulful singing.

As the event drew to a close, the Chief Guest Shri Tsering Tashi delivered a powerful speech, encapsulating the essence of the evening and emphasizing the importance of unity, patriotism, and remembrance of historical sacrifices. The other distinguished guests also shared their thoughts, adding depth and perspective to the proceedings.

Held at Tawang, the event commenced with a warm welcome for the delegates, featuring an impressive lion dance performance that set an energetic tone for the proceedings. The day's events also included the flag-off ceremony of the biking group known as the "Redland Brothers," who were embarking on an expedition to Zemithang. This exciting start was followed by the ceremonial lighting of a lamp to mark the official beginning of the event.
