I'm going to do something I don't normally do and review the showing of a movie. My wife and I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine in Regal Cinemas 4dx in Nashville yesterday. The movie is hands down amazing. The experience was our first 4dx experience and I am here to warn you: It's intense. Normal movies have a sound-system and screen test. 4dx starts by nearly launching you out of your seat. Make no mistake: This isn't simple "the seat tilts". This is straight up "I wish I had a seatbelt on".
If you look at their website you will see various warnings such as "no hot beverages", "do not eat during intense scenes" and "do not attend if you have a heart condition". Believe them. I experienced less seat movement at the Star Tours ride at Disneyland, and that one HAS seatbelts.
Sure, there's more to this than motion though. It's top-of-the-line surround audio and 3d video coupled with environmental effects such as water sprays and wind (and punches to your lower back) just to name a couple. However, it seemed to be overdone in much of the movie to the point it was distracting. Sure, feel the car shake while you're riding in it. Why would you feel it shake though if you're outside the car? All in all though, if you're young enough, and you can handle it, the 4dx experience is, in my opinion, the only way to see movies going forward.
You're paying for this though. The tickets are $26.50 apiece and children are a mere fifty cents cheaper.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but some of you do.
It is ILLEGAL to drive with your emergency blinkers on. They are for indicating your car is stopped. You could actually cause an accident if someone sees them on and assumes you are stopped in front of them, and (not that you use them anyway) they disable your turn signals.
