Debate Recording is Ready!

Many of you have asked about the availability of a way to watch a recording of the debate. Thanks to the generosity of Traverse City realtor Jason Gillman, a recording is now available! We are so grateful to him for taking the time to record our debate, and for sharing this recording with us freely so that anyone interested can watch it. Republican Governor Candidates Take Center Stage in Traverse City May 28

The red hot Michigan Republican Governors race moves to center stage Saturday, May 28 at Traverse City’s Park Place Hotel and Convention Center. With six of the ten candidates committed to attend, this first of its kind Northern Michigan event will be the kick-off of what promises to be a busy summer campaign season.

Additionally, the debate will be followed by a ninety-minute meet and greet with the governor hopefuls as well as many other candidates seeking elective office at both state and local levels. The evening culminates with a dinner and ball at the Park Place venue.

Billed as the “Republican Governors Candidates Great Debate and Grand Ball”, the event will provide an opportunity to get to know candidates up close and personal, and have a bit of fun.

The debate runs from 3pm to 5pm and can be attended free of charge, however pre-registration is required. The meet and greet follows from 5pm to 6:30pm with dinner and the ball beginning at 7pm going to 11pm. All registration and ticket purchases for the ball can be done at nmidebate.com.

The list of attending Governor Candidates includes Tudor Dixon, Ryan Kelley, Michael Markey, Ralph Rebandt, Kevin Rinke and Garrett Soldano. The debate is scheduled to air live on 9 and 10 News and the station’s Eric Lloyd will be a moderator along with Tammy Clark. Heather Cerone will act as Master of Ceremonies for all of the evening’s activities.

Citizens Liberating Michigan, Stand Up Michigan-Emmet and Stand Up Michigan Charlevoix are the sponsoring organizations for the event.
