SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER🙌

Woohoo! THANK YOU to those who thought of me for your orders this week, I’ve been quiet on socials purely because I’ve been busy creating in time for the last day(s) of term & I’ve loved it🫶

Having been a teacher before starting my floristry venture, I really enjoyed (and had a slight soft spot for) creating ‘Thank You Teacher’ gifts. I used to get a warm fuzzy feeling whenever my pupils or colleagues would show me thanks at the end of term because the job was such a privilege - so many highs and lows but always full of love. I never felt deserving of the gifts / words I’d receive but looking at it now from a different perspective, I fully appreciate and believe that no thanks would ever be enough for the work and time that educators put in all year round. You’re all miracle workers!

To anyone who’s received my flowers over the last couple of days (and all of my followers in the education sector) - know you’re SO deserving and SO appreciated, the job you do is priceless and now is your time to kick back, relax, recuperate and enjoy the next few weeks as much as you possibly can👌

P.s. I’d love to see pictures of my flowers in their new homes so if you’ve received some this week and fancy taking a lil picture, tag me!😉

A lil treat for someone special to be delivered this evening…not that they know it yet🤭💐

Thankyou to all of you who came to today - my most successful market to date🥹 I find it so overwhelming when people like my arrangements enough to buy them, although I may not say it in the moment it really does make me feel so lucky and spurs me on to keep trying to make something of my silly lil dream🥰

Working with flowers, for me, is a form of creative therapy - it brings me a joy, sense of calm and focus that I struggle to find elsewhere. It’s this that drives me to keep creating, if not for anyone else but myself, so when others appreciate the flowers too it genuinely feels unbelievable🫶

Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you’re up to and I’ll keep you posted as to where to find more of my florals when they’re next available💕

First event florals created for the most beautiful baby shower set up today. Absolutely loved the brief and was so happy to have been the one asked to bring it to life💕

Obsessed with this combo but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t choose some of them for their apt names…

Exciting news‼️(At least I hope so😬)

I’m getting creative again this week and will have flowers available for collection/delivery on Friday (23rd) and Saturday (24th)!🥳🙌🤩

Ya gal recently passed her driving test and now has a car (toot toot!💨) meaning I’m finally able to offer delivery slightly further afield to cover Preston and the surrounding area. This new found freedom has been long awaited and I’m hoping it will bring a new dimension to the business and the service I’m able to provide🤞

Who WOULDN’T want flowers dropped straight to their door?🤷‍♀️

I’ve been SO excited to incorporate the VIP ‘Double Bubble’ Tulips into my arrangements but was waiting for a special time to order them in…what better than Easter Weekend whilst we have extra days at home to enjoy them?!😍

✨For Terry✨

The sun has been out today, keeping me warm in my studio&streaming light in through the window making everything look that little bit extra special. A Robin also stopped on a branch above my head whilst on my walk and sang a little song…

A year ago today we lost our lovely Uncle Terry. This arrangement has been made in memory of him:

Sunflowers • Terry was described by Everton as ‘A cheery, engaging, infectiously enthusiastic individual’. This is also how I remember him- one of the brightest in the room.

Delphiniums • Used to communicate encouragement and joy as well as remembering loved ones who have passed.

Ranunculus • A symbol of charm.

Forget-me-nots • Symbolise true love and respect. When given to someone they represent a promise that you will always remember them and keep them in your thoughts.

Astrantia ‘million stars’ • Star shaped flowers symbolising a strong, brave protector.

Ornithogalum (Star of Bethlehem) • Star shaped flowers representing hope amongst other things.

As my Uncle Terry played for Everton in the 80s and football was a massive part of his life, £1 from every sale this week is going to Everton in the Community - see my last post for details about their work💙

One thing I’ve loved the most since starting up a matter of weeks ago has been meeting and connecting with so many lovely people. Seeing your smiles, hearing your reactions and finding out your reasons for buying is such a driving force and makes me determined to make this lil flower thing work🥲

I will always try my best to make my creations as special as possible for you - my ethos is ‘be kind, spread joy’ for a reason and it’s because I never want to be a florist who simply churns creations out en masse. I put thought and time into each arrangement to make every one unique in the hope that it adds that extra little something - my point being, it means so much to have you all believing in and choosing me & I hope my flowers bring the same joy to you and yours as they do to me!😌

My Mum is working on Mother’s Day this year and I’ve got a crazy busy day tomorrow so this afternoon was my only chance to sneak off and surprise her to make sure she got her flowers in time for Sunday🤭

For anyone who was hoping to buy but didn’t get the chance to order, I may possibly have some pre-made arrangements for sale in my little flower stand Thurs-Sat next weekend but it all depends on availability after prioritising/fulfilling orders - I will keep my social media updated as to whether there will be stock available nearer to the weekend!😉

No flowers this weekend - sorry!☹️

Usually by Thursday I’m neck deep in flowers and foliage, the dining room looks more like a garden than the ACTUAL garden and I’m hoping for a weekend of reasonable weather so that my little flower stand can make an appearance! However, I’ve made the decision not to order flowers in this weekend…

Instead, today has been a day of organising in preparation for the Mother’s Day week ahead! Thankyou SO much for all of your orders and for making me the busiest I have been to date - I’m so excited to make your arrangements extra special next week. Promise they’ll be lovely💕

Really missing the gentle presence of flowers the last couple of days but I think it’s important to be putting all my focus and energy into the many upcoming orders as I really want them to be my best yet🤞🏼

I’m keeping pre-orders open until Sunday evening (12th) but if anyone is wanting flowers for collection or delivery within Penwortham (£3.50) from Thursday-Saturday next weekend then I’d recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later just to ensure I can fulfil your wishes - I am a ‘one man band’ after all!😅
