My favorite moment of the tournament. Isaac was tied for third place and needed this putt to stay tied. It was the final hole with all the cameras on him and a gallery of people watching. He stepped up, clutch and drilled the chains.

After a very slow couple of rounds, Isaac unleashed the beast with a blazing 12 under round which was 962 rated…and that was with a bogey and a chain out. He’s now in solo 3rd with one more regular round to go.

In some wet and slippery conditions, Isaac shot another -1 round putting him at 2 under for the tournament. He currently sits at 7th place and tomorrow morning’s round is the most scoreable course of the tournament. We’re hoping to string together a pile of birdies before heading into the semifinals

For those who prayed for wind and rain to clear out the smoke…thanks but you can dial it down a bit!! As much as Isaac loves throwing in 70mph winds, it doesn’t make for good tournament conditions

Isaac had a relatively slow start shooting -1 for round 1. Round 2 is scheduled for 1:00pm but nasty weather is moving in now threatening thunderstorms, hail, and potential tornadoes. These kids can’t catch a break.

Play is suspended for the day until we hear otherwise due to the poor air quality…we usually don’t ask for this for tournaments, but pray for wind and rain!

Isaac is scheduled to continue the delayed round tomorrow at 9am with round 2 to commence at 2pm. All of this is of course dependent upon the air quality but the winds shift during the night and our fingers are crossed for some fresh southern air. Isaac’s shot at a world championship starts tomorrow. We begin the day by stopping at the Des Moines Challenge and then drive to Peoria IL to get ready for Saturday’s doubles tournament where Isaac will be teaming up with friend and Innova teammate Nathan Brewer. In one of the windiest tournaments of all time anywhere on the planet, Isaac was able to take down the mj18 division at the Plattsmouth Open with a first place finish yesterday. Congrats!

Isaac played a cold (started around 32 degrees) and windy (20 mph) B tier tournament today in Beatrice. He played in the MA3 division against 17 adults on a very long course and was able to take 6th place. Both rounds were rated above his player rating (round 1- 860, round 2- 852). Way to get it done.
