General Motors Day WA
As you may have recently heard GM Owners Day has decided to cease running their event.
The organisers of Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show have had involvement with GM Owners Day in past lives and were disappointed at this turn of events. So much so that we have approached one of the co-organising clubs, the Chevrolet Club of W.A. Inc., to inquire whether they might like to join forces with the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show to continue celebrating General Motors vehicles into the future. It was a very eager YES from them. Yay !!!!
“General Motors Day WA” will run in a slightly different format than GM Owners Day. Similar in most ways to the way the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show is run. So that means FREE ENTRY for Display Vehicles the Driver and one passenger, (further passengers charged at gate prices). There will be no adjudicating or prizes and merchandise, shirts, show bags etc.
The show will be run in conjunction with the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show, which this year is on Sunday October 6 2024. There will be a separate oval for General Motors vehicles and the original oval for the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show. Obviously, there will be Club’s that have previously attended both car shows. Those Clubs will be able to choose which oval they set up on ahead of time and space allocated in advance on the oval of their choice.
Curtin FM will be broadcasting from the grounds on the day and there will be food vans and general stalls in attendance for you to enjoy.
There is no vehicular movement UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES between 10am and 2pm and display vehicles will need to be in and set up by 9.30am, with gates open from 6.30am for entry.
Spectators entry from 10am to 2pm, Adults $10, children under 16 free.
So, if you are in a Club, please refer to your Event Organiser, we will email club’s separately and they submit as a group so we can park you together. If you normally attend as a Private Entrant and want to attend as part of General Motors Day WA and park on that oval, please complete the below electronic registration form ASAP.
If you have already registered as a Private Entrant for the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show but wish to park on the General Motors Day WA oval, please reregister using the Private Entrant Registration Form below. You will receive an email noting your registration with a Dash Pass attached that you MUST display on entry to the event to enable quick and easy access on the day.
