Real talk. I LOVE the traditions of a Jewish wedding. Growing up in a home where my mother was Catholic and my father was Jewish, I got a mixed understanding of both religions. But it wasn’t until I started planning events that I learned about what things mean and signify.

A chuppah, or huppah, is a canopy used in Jewish wedding ceremonies. It symbolizes the home the couple will build together and represents God’s presence in their union. The open sides of the chuppah signify the couple’s welcoming of family and friends into their lives.

And this chuppah that creates for and J was something out of a storybook.

I think the thing that made me most happy about this situation with the tide cans to the end of the amazingly beautiful vintage Porsche. Watching this amazing couple drive away from their ceremony in this special car was just the sweetest thing ever.

I’m not going to lie…

I am an absolute sucker for these moments. I always say that being a wedding planner is also like being a part-time therapist. You get to know the family and all of the dynamics pretty intimately through the process and are privileged to see all the behind the scenes moments that make a wedding weekend so incredible.

So one of my favorite moments is getting that special time right before our client walks down the aisle. We tell them to take it all in. Walk slowly. Memorize the moment because it’s one that truly matters. And we will see them on the flip side…as a married🤍
