On a sunny Saturday in August, just as the blossoms were blooming, Rodney and Rhi chose to commit their lives to each other in our gardens. It was such a happy occasion and we were privileged to share our garden with them. Congratulations Mrs and Mrs Payton. Wonderful celebrant Sapphire Love Weddings officiated and by all accounts everything went very smoothly, and Olivia Rose Photography took some beautiful pictures!
The last few days of winter.....a birds eye view of the garden and a hint of what is to come when it bursts into spring life.
That's it for another day on the farm....just one more golden sunset!

Oranges and Lemons (and Limes and Mandarins!)
It's citrus season here on the farm. The frosts of the last few weeks have sweetened the Mandarins. The lemons are dropping and we have tree fulls of oranges, tangellos, lemons and a few pink grapefruit and we are still getting limes We think we are covered for Vitamin C this flu season!

It’s a fresh 7 C with an expected sunny day and a top of 22 C today. We just love this autumn weather - a fire at night, a cosy doona and then beautiful clear warm days!

An autumn garden
I couldn’t resist capturing the soft light of the afternoon with the autumn garden. Changing leaves, soft light, happy cows…just peace on earth!
It’s cold for snakes too!
A green tree snake had been spotted on and off around the yard for a while - we couldn’t quite figure out where he lived. A few days ago we spotted a snake skin in the top of our wisteria pergola, which belonged to him. Today when we opened the spa up, here he was tucked up inside trying to stay warm! He is not poisonous, and quite shy, so we are hoping he will leave of his own as we don’t want to hurt him getting him out!
A beautiful autumn morning. The colours are changing in the trees. The mist stays low in the valleys and a setting moon to the west while the sun rises in the east.

W***y Wagtail Family
The secret can now be shared. Mr and Mrs Wagtail are proud to announce the arrival of two babies. They have grown quickly and are about to come of age and leave the nest. Mumma and Papa are doing their best to provide for the hungry mouths but the time has nearly come for them to find their own way.
And the rain came tumbling down….
It was so hot this morning something had to give…a late afternoon thunderstorm. A couple of years ago we could not have imagined this much rain! The garden is going to love it. My heart still lurches at all the rain just pouring out of the tank even though they are full.
Baby Parrots!
We heard some strange noises coming from one of the fence posts - low and behold - a gaggle of 5 babies screeching for their mumma. They are deep enough down so a crow can’t get them…we’ll be keeping a close eye on them.
Flower spam!
The gardens at the farm are bursting into bloom. Spring is in full swing. The recent rain (72 mls last week) and then the heat means we can hear the plants growing!

Fog in the creek gulleys adds something magical to the start of the day.
Spring is in the air…..
a walk to the letterbox to collect mail and I looked up to see the first blossoms on the Pear trees on the driveway….so I took a walk and captured some other blooms! The chickens are clucking and laying so the smells, sounds and sights of Linga Longa are taking on a decided springtime feel.
Old Fence lines bring ideas of what must have been some time ago…how old are these trees that have grown around the posts and strainers?
