Our herby courgettes pancakes MUCVER (said mooj-vair) served with garlicky cucumber yoghurt will be on our mezze menu on Dec 17th at the St Leonard’s Pub, as is our MARRY ME RICE seasoned with warm spices and barberries - so called because being a great rice make is highly valued in Turkey and can lead to an offer of marriage 😱😋🥘🔥

This week's taster menus are GO! MEATY TURKLISH HOTPOT

Layers of soft potato with seasoned beef, all the peppers and tomatoes in a garlicky herby sauce. Cooked on the stove it has that hearty warmth we all need right now. Served with rice cooked the Alaturk way, a side of our lemony red cabbage & carrot salad sprinkled with pomegranates. Ten pounds delivered to your door.

WEEKLY TASTER MENU - MONDAY 30th, November

This week we’re going with something seriously warming and hearty as the nights get a bit chillier. In Turkish this week’s dish is called OTURTMA which literally means SEATING. It’s often that Turkish just doesn’t translate. I know because I spent many years scratching my head as I learned the language. This is one of those moments where Mesude and I just looked at each other and said, ‘it’s just oturtma’. 🤔😋 so we’ve named it after a classic English dish as the potatoes look very similar!

TURKLISH HOTPOT - Served with seasoned rice, a healthy red cabbage & carrot salad sprinkled with pomegranates.

MEATY – made with seasoned mince beef, fresh tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, onion & all the coloured peppers with fresh parsley & thyme.

VEGAN – made with cauliflower, fresh tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, onion & all the coloured peppers with fresh parsley & thyme.

Fancy treating yourself to some slow roast aromatic lamb cooked the Oriental way this Sunday? We’ve got you covered.

WEEKEND ROASTING

Served with rice and orzo cooked the Turkish way, garlicky cucumber yoghurt, red cabbage salad (full of vitamin C and anti-oxidants), and dessert (this week it’s candied pumpkin, a superfood, served with buttery pistachios & walnuts, a drizzle of cardamon syrup and a dollop of cream). Delivery times is around 2pm but we can find a time that’s right for you for orders of two and above.

Keeping it simple in true canteen style – £12.50 per wknd roasting menu.
