ROLL WITH IT...Savage Socials was established in 2019, despite the fact that this wasn’t “our plan”. We had a dream, we had a vision of what we desired this business to be. We had our goals posted on our office wall. First step was to save enough “cushion cash”, so that we would have the funds to launch this business. We did not reach that goal...but we rolled with it. “Our plan” was to launch in spring 2020, because that would be the best time to book catering events and it would allow us the time to get things in order before we launched. As life often does, we were thrown some curve balls this year. So we rolled with it. We took the risk, we found connections and we made it happen. Everything we did took far longer then we anticipated. From having a vision of our logo, to working with a graphic design artist to making it come to life. To learning the in’s and out’s of business for social media, of which will continue to be a learning curve. To the daunting task of creating a website from scratch, we just rolled with it. To officially going “live”, while realizing all long that right before the holidays wasn’t the best time...but we rolled with it. We knew it was now or never. We had talked about and envisioned this business for so long we knew we had to take the risk. Why would we take such a drastic risk at the worst financial and emotional time in our lives? Despite the numerous struggles, the stress, the uncertainty, which all still remain, we know that we are made for more! We have so much more to offer, we have a vision that we want to celebrate and share with others. We have a goal of choosing our own schedules, of showing up and being available to not only our closest family and friends, but even those we have yet to meet on this journey. We roll with it because we have a dream that we are making a reality. We roll with it because it's a passion. We roll with it because we love the challenge. We roll with it because life is an adventure. We roll with it so that we can grown as individuals. We roll with it to show others that it's never too late!
This rolling pin hangs in our kitchen. I searched for days while traveling abroad for the "right" rolling pin for Chef Ginger. At the time, I didn't think this one was "perfect" but in hindsight it is. I purchased it in France and the imperfections are what make it so amazing because it's an original, it's unique, the coloring varies on it, there are knots and cracks in it, yet it still rolls on!
ROLLING WITH IT into 2020!
