Line-up announcement: DJ S*M aka Sam, is no stranger to music, be it live acts or DJ’s! Growing up in the 80's with festivals and biker rallies such as Kent Custom and Glastonbury, then in the early 90's the rave scene, DJ S*M's appreciation and knowledge of music is vast and varied. This shows in the music he DJ’s and produces today.
He first encountered 'dance music' at a very young age with influences from pirate radio stations, festivals and raves. His first rave was around 1992 and although very young, the impression remained firmly in his mind. Yet it was attending and venturing off on his own to V2000 festival where he truly found the joy and release in mass gatherings of people. This is where he was transformed to watch DJs perform and be part of a united crowd where dance music came first! This festival also led him to purchase his first mixer and start to blend tunes. However, from a very young age DJ S*M always use to make tapes where he would record from radio, cutting and editing all speech and adverts from the recordings creating seamless music tapes.
In December 2002 DJ S*M played his first paid DJ gig and knew he was on to something not just his career, but something life changing. Predominantly playing Trance and Hard house in the early days, he now mixes all kinds of 4/4 music and has even been known to play a few D&B gigs in his time. In 2003 he began to promote his own parties and raves and has not looked back since with a whole range of events under his belt including his latest venture 'PSYLINGS' and his mini secret festival every summer.
DJ S*M can mainly be found dishing out glorious trance, psytrance and hard house to the crowds at events all over the UK, appearing on line-ups alongside acts like GMS, Dickster and Nikki S to name only a few.
DJ S*M played for Reminiscence back in 2022 and we are delighted to be welcoming him back.
S*M will be playing B2B at Reminiscence - The Private Party on 16th January.
