We had a first this past summer, when a Bride requested to bring in bistro lights for her wedding reception inside Market & Monroe. With the help of Metropolitan DJ out of HSV, they transformed this space into the reception venue of her dreams.

The Market & Monroe team learned of this history after purchasing the building. The back of our building was a separate minority owned business, and you can see the highlighted architectural details on the rear east wall facing the train tracks. We can’t wait to see the Easy Street Art Trail right beside us!!

⭐️ HAPPY 1 YEAR TO Market & Monroe ⭐️

We can not put into words how amazing this first year has been for us. The community’s support has been felt since day one and we will be forever grateful. We have watched you all celebrate so many special occasions under our roof.

We’ve hosted engagement parties, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, weddings and receptions, celebrations of life, corporate meetings and banquets, continued education meetings for local businesses, holiday open house and a few pop up shops for local businesses to showcase their goods.

When our family dreamt up this business, we never could have dreamed of this sort of success in year one. What a blessing our community has been to us!! Athens and the surrounding areas, we are here for you and are excited to hear how we can help you plan your next event!!

If you choose to do business with Market & Monroe, you will be greeted by these two. Both lifelong Athens residents, they retired from corporate jobs and chose to invest in their town. They both work together seamlessly to run their new passion project. Danny primarily manages all financial and building maintenance projects, and Sandra is responding to your booking emails, coordinating dates, and meeting you all for building walk throughs.

You’ll see them at the venue together multiple times a week “flipping the building” as we call it, getting it prepared for the next event. If you pass by and see them there, knock on the front door and you’ll be greeted by a friendly face.
