We raised £779 quid for which we’re sure will make a positive impact for their service users!!
The vibe was there exactly what we were after, spurring us on to curate our autumn/ winter programme back in the basement!

ARCANE founders, Torn Relics will round off Sunday night with a DJ set, aimed to get you moving after a day of experimental live performances.
Torn Relics are the London based duo composed of Romek Boyer aka Rommek (Blueprint, 47, Leyla Records, Natural Selection, MORD…)
and violinist & bodhrán player, Aimée Mullen. Their compositions are inherently cinematic, offering doom-laden soundscapes, merged with ethereal vocals & tribalistic rhythms, offering the listener an abundance of images which comes to life through the pair’s energetic live performances.
Combining the use of electric violin, vocals, modular synths, guitar & drum machines the body of their work experiments with noise, inhabiting the space between reality and hallucination.
The pairs work has been released on renowned underground labels such as Sacred Court, Leyla records and Instrument Of Discipline..
Notable performances since their inception span cities across Europe including, Berlin, Athens, Riga (Latvia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Manchester, London, Birmingham to name but a few.

On 4th of August Alexander Tucker will live perform his 2023 album - Fifth Quarter (released on subtext) featuring Archive material from Derek Jarman, Keith Collins and Dungeness.
Tucker is a multidisciplinary artist working across music, assemblage, painting, comics, collage, sculpture, film and live performance.
Formally trained as a painter at the Slade School of Fine Art, Tucker went onto produce a series of critically acclaimed solo albums for renowned Chicago based record label Thrill Jockey and All Tomorrow’s Parties before recording as MICROCORPS for Alter Records.
He also has a number of collaborative projects including avant-pop, electronic duo Grumbling Fur (with Daniel O’Sullivan); the Grumbling Fur Time Machine Orchestra, who have improvised with Charlemagne Palestine, Mark Titchner and Neil Campbell, and tape loop radiophonic project Imbogodom (with Daniel Beban), recorded at BBC Bush House. Tucker has toured extensively in the UK, Europe, New Zealand and the U.S. In 2023 Tucker embarked on a posthumous collaboration with the late Keith Collins, the partner and collaborator of q***r film maker Derek Jarman. Using Collins archival recordings and recorded in Jarman’s Prospect Cottage on Dungeness, Kent.
Bridging the gap between his fine art background and as a singer songwriter, improviser and electronics composer, Tucker continues to collaborate with both fine artists and experimental musicians. Alexander Tucker lives and works in London.

Kinn, finds their origins in the class struggles of early 00s Tottenham. Influences pulled from the post-rock soundtrack of this era are unmistakable among Kinn’s contemporary electronic aesthetics, deft musicianship, and state-of-the-art sound design. Unabashed in their creative ambition, Kinn’s tongue-in-cheek ‘dread-voyeurism’ is underpinned by a palpably sincere vulnerability that seeps through their dynamic and rewardingly dense records.
Kinn has performed at acclaimed venues such as the Southbank Centre, Cafe OTO, Fold and Berlin’s HKW with an ever-evolving roster of onstage collaborators.

Raised in Manchester studying at Jazz at Chethams School of Music and Trinity College of Music, Paleman has rapidly risen through the ranks since emerging in 2012 from within the UKs vibrant post-dubstep scene
He has quickly become one of the most respected DJs and producers with a view to innovation and experimentation.
Multiple releases on Swamp81 started his career aged 18 followed by a collaboration with UK mercury prize jazz nominees Polar Bear in 2014 before he launched his own white label series in 2016 “PLMN”. His most recent album was released on Sublunar, and previously works were released on Nonplus, showcasing deep and textured productions. Paleman seems to be on an ever increasing upwards curve, shifting his sound and exploring new realms of experimental modular driven techno that defies convention. This alternative side can be shown through his Fresnel Lens alias.
Paleman’s knack for percussive, textural and elegantly minimal dance floor music has taken him around the world from Tresor in Berlin and across the UK to Australia, India and Canada all to showcase his unique DJing style and huge array of unreleased experiments. With studies in classical music and jazz his drumming skills and influences take note from all four corners of the experimental musical world, and also the dystopian future of hardware based machine music as well as experimental early electronics. Paleman seems to constantly be pushing boundaries in both his DJ and live sets and also his productions

Residing from a post industrial town in South Wales, 7Xxins is predominantly a producer and live electronic music performer, concentrating on a manipulation of machinery and hardware. With a background in mechanical engineering and electronics, Ben’s transition into audio electronics was a natural one, having developed a healthy obsession with machines and the intricacies of sound since his early discovery of hard house and rave culture.
Whilst running new musical imprint ‘Severn Electronics’ , 7XINS remains heavily involved in London’s dance music scene holding down a residency as a live performer at one of London’s most exciting venues, FOLD. With many performances for the now legendary UNFOLD and a recent debut performance at Tresor in Berlin.
Ben continues to share rich and complex analogous sounds with a strong sense of depth and immersive atmosphere as his trademark...
He joins the line up for Arcane on 06.05.24

The London based experimental duo, Torn Relics comprises of Romek Boyer

As a long time friend and collaborator of Torn Relics, we are happy to invite Polanski to showcase his electrifying selection this Thursday.
Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. Never bound to one musical style - in the booth as well as in his studio - Polanski tries to bridge the gap between rhythmic grooves and the cerebral, more obscure sounds.
Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a sonic walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive, more than the musical genres themselves that seal the journey together. Constantly shifting his sound, Polanski has evolved over the 20+ years as a DJ, Promoter and resident DJ of a London-based event series, Volt.

Cardinal & Nun is Marseille-based artist Loic Bodjolle. A member of the renowned New York imprint L.I.E.S. Records, he is known for his raw and intense sound and highly energetic performance on stage.
He is sure to deliver a cathartic experience that explores the dark side of electronic music without reserve. Intrepid and bold !

It’s a pleasure to invite Ireen Amnes to Arcane for a new live performance she has been working on. She is the go-founder of the event series and label Under My Feet.
Her artistic roots in industrial, noise, and experimental genres infuse her live hardware and DJ sets with moody, unpredictable journeys that explore an array of styles and intensities.
Based in Berlin, Ireen's musical odyssey commenced as a singer and instrumentalist in metal bands, eventually weaving her signature style into the world of electronic music.
Within her own productions, Ireen's music transcends with distorted aesthetics, melancholic atmospherics, and deconstructed rhythms, evident in recent works such as a collaboration with Drew McDowall of Coil; her latest EP on Tresor Records; and the collaborative EP 'Unravelling' alongside Kamikaze Space Programme.
Her first full-length LP 'In The Land Of Silence,' released in 2020 through Sonic Groove Experiments, received critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the emotional depth conveyed through moving melodies and rumbling drones.

We are delighted to welcome a live performance from the French producer Cardinal & Nun. The LIES Records affiliate caught our attention from the get go with his intrepid electronics and post-punk aesthetic.
Ireen Amnes Co-founder of Under My Feet. will be gracing us with a live performance, delving into her enigmatic world of experimental sound design.
Furthermore, we will be joined by Polanski. Known for tearing up Dance floors as Volt resident, he will be selecting an alternative soundtrack to the night.

With over 30 events organised between 2013 and 2019, Dazed & Confuzed founders; Triangular Shaped & SHDWL will be playing together. Their programming was an often sonic feast and featured Ancient Methods, Vatican Shadow and JK Flesh, just to name a few. They can be found displaying an eclectic selection of the music they love. Furthermore the duo host the “A:Buzzed” show on Threads Radio.

Co-founder of Arcane and half of Rommek has expanded his own sound, carving his way into the current techno and experimental scenes. His extensive interest in sound design is crafted within the dense atmospheres, heavy broken rhythms and electrifying tones found within his productions.
The London based producer has steadily been releasing music since 2014, notably on the seminal Blueprint Records in 2016, releasing five solo EPs, plus remixes from label owner James Ruskin and Broken English Club, O/V/R, & Makton. Since then, he’s pushed his sound further through releases on Dutch imprint Leyla Records, Natural Selection, Mord, Hex, Loose Lips plus a collaborative release with the Spanish duo NX1.

Kodah brings his wide-ranging musical knowledge and passion for hard-hitting electronics to his Dj sets. He also Co-founded the esteemed Natural Selection label & event series. Originally established in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010, since its launch in London in 2012, Kodah has frequently brought the most cutting-edge lineups to some of the best club venues in London, most notably FOLD where a strong family bond has been formed, and one could argue where he has built his true, spiritual home for his collective, and also himself as a DJ.

EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive and has built a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro and it's core roots. She mainly steers towards the darker and eerier side of the genre, taking influences from sci-fi films and the ability to tell a story.
Her performative sound best personifies dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.
In 2022, she was selected as one of the new faces of TRESOR in Berlin, which saw her play a rare Electro set in the prestigious cage within the deep dark depths of the club.

After hosting the Slow White Fall live debut at our first event, we are very excited to welcome Oliver Ho back to play a DJ set under his Broken English Club Alias
You can expect him to delve into his musical influences that have impacted his career across his many different projects, ranging from EBM / Techno / Experimental / Noise & Drone. Vacant Heads, Zov Zov, Raudive and The Eyes in The Heat, are just a few of his other projects that showcase his diversity and ability to collaborate.
Since the birth of the Broken English Club project, he has released on notable labels such as LIES Records, Cititrax, Jealous God and Ho’s own imprint Death & Leisure
