We are very excited to unveil the Youth Environmental Education Conference lYEEC) which runs in parallel to the 12th edition of the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 29 January to 02 February 2024.
The platform provides opportunities for youth to engage in environmental education, allowing for active discussion, learning, and collaboration between educators, practitioners, and youths from different parts of the world.

Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi has cared for and rehabilitated a male dugong calf, named Malqout since he was found abandoned, dehydrated and malnourished in June 2019 after several days of strong winds and disturbances at sea.
Overcoming the odds of dugong survival in captivity over the years to be brought back to full health, Malqout’s story highlights EAD’s experience and quality of animal care in .
WEEC UAE Year Of
Connecting with a place and its context has an underpinning role in connecting people and creating a sustainable tomorrow and that is the central theme of the 12th WEEC.
The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration aims to prevent, halt, and reverse the degradation of ecosystems with people's participation and calls for nature-based education within environmental education. Nature-based or place-integrated experiences bestow a range of proven outcomes, including personal-social relevant competencies, that can simultaneously address COVID-19-induced lags in young learners.
We invite abstract submissions on the 5th theme Outdoor and Place-based Learning in the Decade of Ecosystem Restoration, including but not limited to:
• Examples of outdoor and place-based learning
• The effects of contact with nature during outdoor EE on Student’s Wellbeing
• The future of outdoor-based learning (Nature-based or place-integrated experiences) In a world that has contended with COVID-19

👉🏼 Flush safe: Fix leaking water and waste pipes, empty full septic tanks and report dumping of sludge.
👉🏼 Be curious: Find out where your water comes from and how it is shared. Visit a treatment plant to see how your waste is managed.
