Does anyone else look at magnolia trees and wonder how nature can produce something so beautiful?. Even the fuzzy little buds are gorgeous before they flower. They’re springs first glorious display giving winter the 🖕🏼However many flowers I work with, these will always be my favourite.
I hope I’ve done them a little bit of justice in this new magnolia & pampas a wreath.

I always want my flowers to look like they’ve been casually gathered up from the garden. Without a doubt, the hardest look to achieve. This wreath took weeks to get right. The pampas was a last minute addition. Some of these pics might have been taken before it was added!

This wreath looks super glam but it’s mainly made with natural grasses & preserved magnolia leaves. A bu**er to make but I love it because it’s giving me the Art Deco 1920’s feels.

I’ve touched on this before but when I started training to be a florist (20 yrs ago 😫) the thought of using artificial flowers, or as they we all called then “silks” was laughable. They were seriously rotten. Dusty weird looking thing on your nannas fancy cabinet. Everything’s changed now & most of what I use is just stunning. They’re like works of art. Without a doubt, fresh will always be beautiful & unbeatable for some occasions, but, there’s definitely room for artificial & I’m just loving working with them.
