So long sweet summer.
September and October are the busiest wedding months, and boy oh boy, we are in the thick of it. I didn't even realize it was already officially fall!
In July, I took a week off for a family vacation in the Prairies. This also served as the perfect opportunity for a branding photoshoot. More pics from that day are coming soon. 🧡

We have been booking a lot of weddings at for 2024 and 2025 and we are so excited about it!
It's such a stunning venue with so many beautiful elements. The hydrangea bushes lining the property are magic, it's right on the water, and the wooden beams in the interior are everything.
Can't wait to make magic there this year!

My name is Aimé, I am the owner and lead designer of Prairie Roots Floral Studio.This year, I will be celebrating 5 years of owning the business and 13 years as a florist. I'm so damn passionate about what I do. Your girl eats, sleeps and dreams flowers.
I'm a Scorpio, Sagittarius rising. I love music, true crime, podcasts, chips, coffee, camping, travelling, wine, swimming, campfires, and my incredible husband, (Scott). I went to school to be a social worker but fell for the arts, and found my way to flower school.
Don't ask me my favorite flower, you wouldn't ask a parent to choose their favorite child! ☺️

How do our floral consultations work?
Email, call, or fill out the form on our website and we will schedule you for a zoom consultation. We will chat about all of your floral needs, discuss floral varieties, your style, and the overall vibe. Then, you will receive a detailed, personalized quote with visuals and inspiration, outlining everything that was discussed.
Floral consultations are fun, I know I am biased, but this is where you can really start seeing your vision come to life!
We only have a handful of dates left for 2024 and we can't wait to start the flower planning process with you!

Plate smashing is a Greek Tradition used in both weddings and funerals to symbolize an end or beginning, to ward off evil spirits and to express abundance.
I. Love.This. Tradition! Especially when it's surrounded by candles, in front of iconic hydrangea bushes, and with a repurposed part of a floor meadow. It doesn't get much better!

A few goals for this year:
🏵️ Take more videos and more behind the scenes footage.
🏵️ Make more solid work hours for myself. I've really struggled with this one, but it's happening this year!
🏵️ Talk to you guys more! Do more face to cam and bring you along for installs and set ups.

Why are flowers expensive, you ask? There are so many steps that go into flower processing and prepping. When florists receive carnations, their blooms are usually really tight. On an average processing day, a florist will manually open at least 100 carnations. Wanna see how we do it?!
