During Covid I developed my own hand held Midi and DMX Controller.

I taught myself basic electronics, basic PCB circuit board design, a working knowledge of micro controllers, how to Code in C++ as well as learning how to use a 3D printer and design and produce the case for the controller.

The controller can be triggered by switches or different sensors (what ever you like). Onboard is a PIR sensor for detecting movement, so that the controller can be placed in position or located remotely.

The controller outputs Midi to communicate with lighting desks, media servers, laser controllers and audio equipment. And also outputs DMX to control basic lighting fixtures or special effects. Bothe Midi and DMX outputs have programmable timers for duration and wait times.

The controller is also able to connect via WIFI and Bluetooth, although i need to find some time to work on the coding for these options.

May 2022. I was asked by Italian company Event Management to work with a DWG file of the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Jeddah. I used WYSIWYG to work out the Projection screen truss positions, as well as the motor chain lengths that would be needed. I was also able to measure the distance from the projectors to the screens, in order for Event Management to work out which lenses to use on the project. I then produced CAD drawings for the Stadium management to approve and the drawings where also used by the rigging company for the installation of the trusses.

In Jan 2022, was asked to produce WYSIWYG visuals and paperwork, as well as get involved with the lighting design for a project in Las Vegas for Dynatrace by Hart Wilcox.

In March 2022 I did some WYSIWYG work for DPL Production Lighting Ltd. I was asked to model a stage system supplied by Serious Structures for one of the stages at Glastonbury 2022 and produce a Wyg file. The file will be passed to all of the LD's from the different bands, so that they can pre programme their bands show.
