Last night, King Studios began our 20th Wedding Season!

I can remember DJing my first wedding at the Waynesboro Country Club in May of 2003. Thankfully, I took of photo of my first DJ setup.

I was DJing from CDs and using my iMac for dinner music. Got to love the old mirror ball! But what was I thinking with all those orange power cords!

Needless to say, we learned a lot over the past 20 years and grew into a much larger DJ company.

Going from 1 DJ with 12 Weddings in 2003, to 5 DJs with over 75 Weddings in 2023!

Tonight is Night to Shine, a world-wide event for people with special needs hosted by over 600 local churches around the world.

King Studios has been proud to DJ the locally held Night to Shine event every year in Fishersville Va. This year, it’s back in person and we can’t wait to rock the house tonight with you.

King Studios had 4 weddings this weekend at The Wool Factory in Charlottesville, King Family Vineyards in Crozet, The Barn at Kline’s Mill in Harrisonburg, and The Irvine Estate in Lexington. Check out the cake photos from our wedding at the wool factory. I love how they incorporated their dog.

Another 4 wedding Saturday for King Studios DJs!!! Today, we are entertaining wedding guest at Renback Barn (with DJ Nathan), Hotel 24 (with DJ Sam), The Wool Factory (with DJ Kyle), and a Family Estate in Earlysville (with DJ Patrick).

King Studios is DJing 4 events this weekend. Kyle is at Frieden Farms, Patrick is at The Overlook at Bella Vista Farms, Sam is at Pro Re Nata Brewery and Nathan is DJing at The Irvine Estate. October is always our busiest month as we also have 4 more next Saturday as well.

If you’re attending a wedding today, chances are King Studios is providing the entertainment. I’m DJing at Brix and Columns, Gordon is DJing at Mt Ida Lodge, Sam is DJing at Valley Roads Vineyards, and Kyle has back-to-back weddings at CrossKeys Barn today and Big Spring Farms tomorrow.

After a record breaking year last year, this year is shaping up great!

Second week in a row DJing Weddings in January. This week I brought my power heated vest to keep warm during the outside ceremony on the mountain top at Irvine Estate. For the guest, the bride and groom gave everyone a flannel blanket as a wedding favor to keep warm during the ceremony. Temps were around 24 degrees, probably the coldest wedding ceremony yet.

One of my favorite weddings ever, was also one of the smallest. Only 25 International guests near the beginning of the COVID shutdowns. I absolutely love the design and trees that they brought into Pippin Hill Vineyards.

Video from our last 2020 Wedding in late November. Only 25 people were allowed to gather, and it was an International Wedding with guest flying in from Asia. They danced non-stop all night! Little did I know that we were about to have the longest break between weddings in 18 years. It would be 4 long months before our next wedding, due to Covid. Luckily, we are back and jammed packed for the rest of the year!

Wedding Ceremony at The House Mountain Inn in Lexington Va. we supplied the music and wireless lapel mics so that everyone could hear the ceremony. Also, notice how you don’t see our sound system in any of the photos :)

DJing a wedding at the Inn at Westwood Farm in Orange Va. This is the first time we have DJed at this venue and with no power outside where cocktail and dinner are happening, we had to break out our new wireless battery powered Bose S1 Pro speaker. Needless to say, it rocks!

DJing a wedding near Washington DC at Potomac Point Winery this past Sunday. Also provided the sound system for the wedding ceremony so these guys could preform.

Third time in a month that we are DJing a wedding at King Family Vineyards. Today's wedding is a multi-cultural wedding. Traditionally the "Wedding March" would be played as the recessional, however in Mexico it's played as the bride walks down the aisle as a grand entrance. #lovemixingitup

DJed a wedding this weekend at the House Mountain Inn in Lexington. Due to the weather , their ceremony was inside and we provided the music and wireless lapel Mics so everyone could hear. Congratulations Caroline and Anthony!
