Lab Session #16 - /

Yax is a techno DJ from Adelaide, Australia drawing influence from the likes of artists such as DVS1, Jeff Mills, and Setaoc Mass. His style is continuously evolving throughout the years, but he maintains a focus on deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets.
Whilst maintaining a presence in the underground techno scene in Adelaide, Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. Focused on turning her passion for music into reality, she has become a familiar face in the underground scene making a name for herself in the first year of DJing. After finishing one year of Ableton Liveschool, Annabel is also focused on making music as well being behind the decks joining some of Sydney’s reputable techno brands. Making her debut in 2022, Annie has continued to play at established events across Sydney/Eora and has already supported the likes of Setaoc Mass. Being inspired the likes of Marron, Annie loves those hard and dark grooves leaving the crowd in a hypnotic, confused but euphoric state.

Matt Antico, also known as PS11, is a DJ and Producer based out of upstate NY. In 1996 Matt stepped into his first rave at the iconic ROXY nightclub, and was Immediately drawn by the dark atmosphere and pounding grooves, soon after that experience he picked up his first pair of Technics 1200’s and began this journey as a DJ. PS11’s DJ sets are heady, raw and dance floor focused, taking cues from his roots in late 90’s and early 2000’s techno. With multiple releases already in 2023, PS11 is looking forward to a massive upcoming release on E-HRZN Records, plus two upcoming various artist releases on Oneiros Records and EvilGroove Records.

Ireland based DJ and producer Fearghal Feely uses the alias of Havik for his journey into ,raw, groovy, stripped back, driving and sometimes trippy techno.
My production style likes to focus on creating dynamic space, depth , groove and can range from heavy and intensifying to sounds that are light and intricate. My taste in techno comes from the 90s and 2000s where techno music was geared towards raw energy and driving rhythms.
The hours started to pay of after unreleased tracks started gaining support from the likes of Marron, Truncate, Kaiser, Alarico, Marcal to name a few.
After this he knew it was time to start releasing some tracks and labels quickly took to them releasing on labels such as intra_records, Aktivberlin, Uncertain and upcoming releases on Syxt and Meatmarket to name a few.
Expect this year to be nailed with a full on flurry on new music.
