Everyone loves a photo booth and to have fun with the props, but they also make a great keepsake for your guests! When you book your photo booth, see if there is a way that you can have customized photo strips printed for your guests, with the name or date of your event on them!
✨Make a donation to a charity or nonprofit organization in your guests’ honor
Sometimes the best gift that we can give is one that helps others. Is there a charity that has an especially meaningful mission to you? Have a small sign or little cards printed to let your guests know that in lieu of favors, you have made a donation in their honor, and include some information about why you chose this particular organization!

3 Signature Cocktails for your Winter Event
Yesterday we shared 4 ways to elevate your event, and included creating a unique menu. Your menu isn't limited to just food, and a signature drink might be just what your menu is missing! We wanted to provide you with 3 simple signature cocktails for your upcoming winter event, and called in one of our favorite bartenders for assistance with this task. Check out Matt's tutorial for three simple and delicious signature drinks for your upcoming holiday party 🥃 🍸 🥂
✨Maple Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of bourbon (a little extra if you're feeling spicy)
- 2 teaspoons of maple syrup
- 2-4 dashes of orange bitters
Stir ingredients together in a shaker glass with a spoon, strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish drink with a cinnamon stick and a cherry
✨Cranberry Mimosa
Ingredients:
- Cranberry juice
- Granulated sugar
- 1 bottle sparkling wine
- Cranberry juice
- Grand Marnier
Use cranberry juice as a base for a sugar rim on your glass, fill 2/3 of the glass with sparkling wine, top with cranberry juice, add a Grand Marnier floater (about .5 oz) if desired. Top with frozen cranberries.
✨Apple Cider Sangria
Ingredients:
- 750ml bottle of wine of choice (we chose Pinot Grigio)
- 2 cups of orange juice
- 2 cups of apple cider
- 3 ounces of apple bourbon (plain also works)
- One dramatic WOOOO as you pour bourbon
- 2-3 diced apples
Mix ingredients in a pitcher without ice. Serve over ice in glasses, and store up to 24 hours before serving.

✨Rent heaters and fire pits if your venue allows - Talk to your venue or event planner about the possibility of renting heaters or a fire pit. Nothing says cozy quite like s'mores and circling around a fire!
✨Block the wind with a tent or barrier - If you have the space at your venue and in your budget, look into renting a tent or barrier to help lock the wind. This can be especially helpful if your event is by the water!

One of the most daunting tasks when planning an event can be deciding where exactly to have it. We have listed our top 8 considerations for your venue hunt below. Let us know if you have any other factors that you recommend considering when looking for the perfect place to host your gathering!
✨Location
Is the location of your event one that will keep some of your guests from being able to attend? Location is important, because it may influence who is able to attend, and how long they are able to stay.
✨Capacity
How many guests do you expect to be gathering? Every room is limited to a number if people who can occupy it at one time, so be sure to find out the capacity of the venue you're looking at when you tour it.
✨Parking
Will there be enough parking for all of your guests, and how far will they have to walk from their car to the event? Ask about parking when you're looking at venues, and consider hiring a valet service if there is not nearby parking available.
✨Budget
How much of your overall event budget do you want to allocate to your venue? When setting your budget, be sure to factor in your venue rate, rental costs, food, signage, supplies, entertainment and staff!
✨Function Spaces and Services Offered
