👶🍼A DJ at a baby shower!? Heck yes.

This baby shower turned out to be gorgeous. Rather then having games or doing the traditional “girls only” shower, the couple opted to make it a social brunch! Lofi, jazz, classic rock, and a little bit of country music kept the energy going strong.

This month’s featured musician is Valerie Evans!

Valerie is a vocalist, trombonist, and educator based in Eau Claire, WI. She holds dual degrees in Vocal and Trombone Performance. In addition to her classical training, Valerie is fluent in the genres of jazz, R&B, soul, and pop. She performs regularly in the greater Chippewa Valley and western Wisconsin.

Through Uncommon Events, Valerie lends her vocal talents in a variety of ways, including:

✨Small group jazz

✨”Mélange,” - An all-female vocal trio supported by guitar creating an intimate and wholesome listening environment. The group performs primarily covers in the genres of indie pop, folk rock, and country.

✨“Third Wind,” - A guitar/guitar/voice trio that performs a variety of smooth and easy-listening covers in the genres of jazz, R&B, 90s rock, and folk.

This month’s featured musician is Tyler Lustek! Tyler is a pianist, educator and composer/arranger from Eau Claire. Since completing his master’s degree in jazz studies at Northern Illinois University, Tyler has returned to Eau Claire to share his passion for live music with the city that fostered his growth as a musician!

At Uncommon Events, Tyler provides solo piano and jazz combos for weddings and other private engagements. He is also one half of Duo Vivace, a cello/piano duet which performs a vast and varied repertoire of his arrangements including pop tunes, jazz standards, and classical works.
