A friend of mine caught this Snapchat of me last night.. it sounds choppy because it’s a Snapchat not my mixing. ANYWAYS This system was truly amazing to play on! After all the work to prepare my set in advance with cue points, recording a take, and listening back to make sure all was smooth... I arrived at the party and when my turn came none of my playlists loaded on the cdjs...no set list, no cue points, no waveforms. I ended up totally improvising the entire set with only artists names, no wave forms, beat matching only by ear. I was in a panic and was so close to just walking away until I found the courage to go with it. It was super challenging but I ended up making it through the hour just fine and banged the s**t out of that system(no 1, not 2, but 3 BassBoss Subs!). The fact that I pulled this off and packed the dance floor despite the inconvenience has made me so proud of how far I have come in my craft. My heart is full! ❤️ Moral of the story 1) Things don’t always go as planned. Run with it anyways. 2) Be confident in your abilities. You know what you’re doing. 3) Being challenged leads to growth. Never give up. 🤍🤍🤍 Man I love this s**t.

Top 3 Favorite sets I’ve played:

1. Aztec’s Bday Bash in Appleton. For one this was a costume party and everyone slayed their looks! For two the turn out was amazing. Three, it was by far the best set I’ve played and I almost never feel like I did a good enough job so that really says something. So many people dancing and everyone was dressed up! So so so fun.

2. Bremenhain MKE. Anyone that knows me knows that Bremen Cafe is one of my favorite hole in the wall spots in the state. I attended my first ever underground shows there so it is very near and dear to my heart. The fact that I was invited to play at my favorite spot where I’ve seen so many people I look up to play at is amazing to say the least. I got to play with Flower Food who is a total Goddess behind the decks and the crowd was hyped. The vocal encouragement was unreal! I had the time of my life playing that set in my favorite venue ever even though I did f**k up pretty bad at one point lol

3. The second set I played at Rooney’s Shake the ‘88 in Beloit was definitely memorable. The first time I played at this venue I had only been playing for a short time and it wasn’t great, but it was a learning experience. 6 months later I came back and was ready to slam it down to make up for the last time and I did. DJ Lester Fitzpatrick randomly popped in with Tre Technics and halfway through my set told me I’m a great DJ and that I played my set very well. I died (in a good way) inside a little. His music is insanely good so that was a HUGE compliment and gave me the confidence boost I needed to feel good about my progress.

A big thank you and virtual hug to all the promoters, friends, and dancers that have booked me for all these shows and come out to support local talent. The journey has just begun!🖤

It’s been a minute since I’ve played out so I’m super stoked to share what I’ve been working on! Finally get to bang on my new headphones and field recorder is on its way. 🤘🏼💀

Until then I’m lyin low as you may have noticed. My last show in MKE was far from what I’m capable of and I will be investing in new gear in a couple weeks so, nights like that will be far and few between.

I’ve had a few life changes in the past 6 months so music hasn’t been front and center. I am slowly working it back into my daily routine. I’ve been working full-time and making bodybuilding a priority again. Plus, I’ve got the 2 kiddos between my partner and I and I’m pursuing an associates in Business Management so I’m a very busy lady.
