A brand new project from the Doom Universe.
From the lands of the deep to the forests of Portland OR, the Magi hath cometh.
Armed with an eclectic form of medieval folk, southern style hip hop, and west coast bass,
the Magi weaves his stories of triumph, pain, and mystery through deeply melodic songs told through thunderous bass.
Inspired by ancient folklore as well as his own novel mythos, the Magi forges each song from a page out of a book, building worlds to adventure through as
he hypnotizes and mystifies his audience.
Having been support all over the country for many larger artists while playing under previous aliases, the Magi knows how to take his crowd on a methodical journey of fantasy
and wonder.
His world is a haunting one, paved with many a danger and wonder, and the music reflects this.
Compared often to the the deep dark and dangerous bass styles but with a whimsical touch, the music of the magi roars with castle wall level reverberation sailing with emotional layered builds,
and ending in powerful drops that tug at the heart strings allowing one to vibrate in self reflection.
Having been described time and time again as "truly unique" and the "next iconic sound", the Magi hopes that his listeners open their minds, triangulate among the stars, and embrace the magic.
The journey has only just begun, and there are many, many adventures to be told.
From fable to fiction, This is black magick bass. This is the world of the Magi. Do not fear the unknown.

the Circle of the MVGI

Hailing from Dallas TX to Portland OR, the Mvgi has been a music producer and dj for over 7 years in the genres of dubstep and bass house. Formerly known as Charlie Rocket, the MVGI project was brought on by a growing interest in the left field bass and experimental realm in the styles of LSDREAM, BLEEP BLOOP, G JONES, and MYSTIC GRIZZLY. Always interested in the unknown, he decided to pursue his love of the mystical with a brand new name focusing much more on psychedelic and neuro sounds while adding his own personal trap rock flare. Still armed with the keytar, the Mvgi moves forward into the concepts of the deep, the dark, and the incredible with live light shows, experimental technology, and now an arsenal of magic infused bass. There is nothing taboo, there are no secrets that will not be turned over, for that is the quest of the mage; knowledge, energy, and the pursuit of transcendence. Neither light nor dark, neither good nor evil, the Mvgi exists in things betwixt, between worlds and beyond the cosmos.
