My name is Kimberley Watkin and I am project manager for Carlisle Undercroft. I work with many non profit groups and specialise in site specific work. I am passionate about my current project to develop a community arts venue for exhibitions, performance, corporate events and weddings. Under Carlisle train station its a fantastic and magical hidden space. I’ve had a fantastic time and a lot of fun

with this project so far and everyone I speak to, tells me its worthwhile and needs doing. My next challenge is to raise the funds that i need for an architect to help me get landlords consent. I am determined to bring this space back to life as a unique venue for the community of Carlisle and north Cumbria. If you would like to support me please go to Kickstarter and pledge whatever you can.

Carlisle Undercroft a community venue

Carlisle Undercroft is found under Carlisle train station and is a Grade II listed space which is currently unused. Kimberley Watkin, trustees, 2030 architects and the help of many other businesses and groups are working on plans and raising money to renovate the space into a multipurpose venue for the local community. It will be used for many different events including; performances, art exhibitions, community events, corporate events, weddings, ghost hunts and much more. Here at Carlisle Undercroft, we would like to support all site specific work in the county and nationally. Under Carlisle train station its a fantastic and magical hidden space, which will celebrate and platform many different events. We’ve had a fantastic time so far and a lot of fun with this project and we hope that you will be able to support us and the future for CU.

Our next challenge is to raise £150,000 to renovate the space and to open in 2019. You can donate to our cause now at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/carlisleundercroft.

Please contact us if you would like anymore information and we will try and get back to you.
