The food scene in Bali was absolutely incredible. Throughout this exploration to discover a completely different culture on the other side of the WORLD, we picked up some interesting tid bits about restaurants, eating and etiquette.

🥑 Allow plenty of time: Dining is a leisurely experience, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry.

🥓 Flagging down a server: Never point upward to get a waiter’s attention

🥔 Sitting etiquette: Avoid crossing your legs, particularly with an ankle resting on your knee

🥖 Tipping: Tips are not expected. A 10% service charge is included in every bill

🙏 Verifying your charge: take the time to check the bill so they can enter it manually with no mistakes.

🧑‍🍳 Food service: Dishes are served as soon as they’re ready, so enjoy them while they’re hot.

🌱 Vegetarians: ask if they can make the dish you want for your diet, they likely can.

🦑 Allergies & Restrictions: They are very considerate as to how to keep you comfortable and feeling your best so they ask every order.

🥞 Leaving food: Always leave a small amount of food on your plate. It’s a sign of respect and considered an offering.

💧 Always ask about the water. You want to avoid Bali belly at all costs.

🍹 welcome drinks! All very healthy and so refreshing!

🥘 Leftovers: No such thing. If you’re full, you are done at your table.

🤤 Enjoy EVERY BITE. Their food & drinks take a little longer to prepare but man, it’s worth every moment of waiting.

You have the majority of your vendors picked out, but you have just a few last details your trying to figure out before signing those last contracts. Often linen, floral and decor can benefit from outside expertise to make sure you are getting all the supplies you need.

Planning the wedding day is a huge process and will take priority. Running logistics on the day of the wedding is a whole different animal. Your Day of Coordinator touches base with all vendors the night before the wedding, the day of and checks up on the bride and groom throughout the day.

Having someone to cue you, your musician, the officiant and everyone in the processional is key. A Day of Coordinator will give you a simple cue, while staying off to the side so you can stay on track without any worry.

A great thing to add to your floral order for your wedding is extra flowers from your centerpieces or bridal bouquet. This way you can work in some amazing detail shots of your most meaningful items to create some pretty drop dead gorgeous photos.

Most vendors will require payment in full before the wedding. But, there are some that like the payment to be completed ON the wedding day. For those vendors, and the ones you would like to tip, your Day of Coordinator can handle all that so you don’t have to worry about making payments and rather enjoy every moment.

Enjoying your day to the fullest includes leaving your wedding with that “high” of adrenaline, excitement and continuing the party with friends and family elsewhere. You have your bridal party ☑️, officiant ☑️ and your venue ☑️ to practice the ceremony a day before your wedding. But what you don’t have is someone to direct you though the bridal party release for the processional, little tips and tricks on where and how to stand, when to pass your bouquet and so much more.

I will be with you for the rehearsal, and the day of the wedding so that everyone knows their spot in line and when to walk. The ceremony is the most anticipated part of the day. With all the other moving parts, it sometimes goes forgotten to prepare for.

When you are a wedding vendor you have a particular understanding of what goes on behind the scenes. Jenna has been behind the camera for many weddings which made her super in tune with all the vendor tasks. She also had incredible trust in her team of vendors which helped her enjoy the most beautiful day of her life thus far. Dan is her perfect pair - he was supportive, understanding and made sure to ask the right questions during the process. Even on the wedding day itself he was more concerned about making sure WE had everything we needed including an extra hand.

This day had many twists and turns (as every wedding does!) but without the incredible team they selected, the trust and kindness they had with every single person - it could not have been accomplished so seemingly.

Although…the beautiful Up North skyline, the rooftop views, and the outdoor ceremony had a little to do with the magic in the air too. ✨

The photographer is one of the most important vendors you choose. They will be alongside of you the entire day so you want someone that has a similar vibe as you but also assertive enough to keep you on schedule.

I love working closely with photographers. We will often work together on shot locations, family shot lists, transportation arrangements and of course the amount of time needed for each block of time.
