This past weekend, I was so incredibly honored to coordinate a wedding for such an awesome couple at The Shed in Wanatah, IN! I coordinated the rehearsal the night before, helped decorate the venue (interior), decorated the ceremony space (exterior), worked with the vendors, and assisted with every detail from start to finish on Saturday.

The venue was gorgeous…the bride, groom, and their son all looked absolutely amazing…the skies were filled with sunshine…the day was PERFECT! 🤩

I want to give a special shout out to ALL the vendors I worked with. Everyone came together to create such a magical day for this couple, their families, and their friends. From the officiant to the photographer, from the DJ to the photobooth, from the bartenders to the caterers….and the venue’s staff went above and beyond to make this couple’s vision come to life.

I also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to my past client Breyana for referring me to this sweet couple. Referrals and positive reviews are what I pride myself on and it truly means the world to me that clients recommend me to those they know! ❤️

Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a wedding for the sweetest couple, Breyana and Zach! 💍

It was 2 full days of set up. The couple (especially the bride and her mom) did a crazy amount of DIY decor and details, which allowed for so many personal touches. Friday I coordinated the rehearsal, and then we headed to Butterfield Pavilion in Valparaiso to set up the reception. It was amazing to see that all the friends and family pitched in to make the couple’s vision come together.

Their ceremony was at a private property in Valparaiso on Saturday, and it was absolutely stunning! I told the bride that I had been manifesting good weather for their outdoor nuptials and it definitely paid off! Sunshine all day ☀️. The couple exchanged their own hand written vows, and you could LITERALLY feel the love surrounding them as their friends and family came together to celebrate these two amazing people.

It was a full day of running around making sure everyone was where they needed to be and sticking to the timeline, coordinating all the various vendors, putting the finishing touches on all the decor, and breaking everything down at the end of the festivities.

Huge shoutout to my allstar intern, Chesney! Couldn’t have done it without her. And I was so happy I got to work with my favorite catering crew (MISSION BBQ - Jamie Lencioni). They ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and their food never disappoints!! 🍗

It was a very successful, amazing weekend! Wishing this beautiful couple a lifetime of happiness and best of luck on their new life adventures! So incredibly blessed and grateful that they trusted me to make their dream wedding come to life and be a part of such a magical day!

Hey Y’all! It’s been a hot minute, but don’t think for one second Mark Your Calendar hasn’t been a busy bee 🤪 🐝!

My first wedding of the spring season is quickly approaching, and I am SUPER pumped…not only is this bride one of the sweetest I’ve had the pleasure of working with, but I was even able to bring on an intern for this special May day!!!! ❤️ Stay tuned for all the pics and updates!

Several people have inquired about decor rentals and the answer is….YASSSSSS! I have a fern wall, hurricane vases, tea light holders, picture frames, and a boat load of more decor that I am more than happy to rent out.

Lastly, with Mother’s Day, graduation parties, and spring showers/weddings upon us…don’t forget I am here for all your party planning needs. From custom charcuterie boards and gift baskets to day of coordination and full blown party planning from start to finish, I am here for you! I’m just a message away! ☺️

Can’t believe it was one week ago today that I was able to throw my hubby a surprise 40th birthday! The theme was James Bond- 0040, and the decor and outfits did NOT disappoint! I had the pleasure of working with my favorite sweet treat vendor Victoria's Cake Pops, as well as some brand new vendors (who I would HIGHLY recommend!) Photobooth: Illiana Top PhotoBooths and Champagne Wall: Honey + Sage Charcuterie. It was the perfect night and a great time was had by all! #0040

So freakin’ pumped for a new year! I already have two weddings booked, and I could not be more excited to work with these super sweet brides and their grooms. So grateful they are trusting me to make their special days perfect and magical!

Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Graduation season are fast approaching. Don’t forget: Mark Your Calendar isn’t a one trick pony, but I am a one stop shop! This is a sad day for party planners…Party City announced it is permanently closing its doors and going out of business. I not only used to work at Party City, but I can’t tell you how time/money I have spent there over the years. It is basically where it all started for me in the 90’s when I first started doing independent event planning and got so much inspiration for all my themes and parties. Thank you, Party City…you were so good to me and you will be missed! 😢😔

I can’t say it enough…I am truly blessed to get to be a part of so many of your special days/occasions. I am sincerely thankful to be able to do what I love, and I am forever grateful for all the continued support, referrals, and clients I am fortunate enough to work with. “It’s Showtime!!!” Nothing says Halloween Spooktacular like a little themed shindig complete with special syringe welcome cocktails, char-BOOterie boards, a Brew Bar with “shrunken head” cider, too many White Castle sliders to count, and a graveyard pumpkin patch for the kiddos. Say it three times…

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a wedding for the beautiful Kara Stooksbury and her new hubby, Brad. This wedding was TWO YEARS in the making and a great deal of planning went into every detail to make sure their vision came to life.

The venue was gorgeous. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Bell Mare in Galien, Michigan. I also had the pleasure of sharing the day with some of the nicest, most helpful vendors I have ever worked with. From the venue owners, to the florist, to the photographers/videographers….the DJ to the bakery and caterers…EVERYONE worked together as a team to make the bride and groom’s day perfect. There was even a live painter, which was a big hit with the guests.

This couple did so many DIY aspects with all their decor and special details ahead of time that when it came to the big day, it was my job to ensure everything came together EXACTLY how they envisioned it. I was entrusted with communicating with all the vendors and making sure we kept to the couple’s timeline as well as decorating the entire venue from top to bottom (literally…since there were 2 floors).

I can’t thank my “assistant” (aka my amazing husband, Jeff) enough for helping me execute every single detail, being my laborer for all the heavy lifting, and just being my constant support system while I follow my dreams! I couldn’t do it without him!!

It was a perfect weekend for a wedding and a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. and Mrs. Stooksbury! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day! And a giant shout out to Erin Ackley for referring me to this great couple and for always supporting me/my business! ❤️

Who doesn’t love a little lakeside charcuterie?! Friendly reminder…I not only party plan, I do custom charcuterie boards for all occasions! This past weekend, I had the pleasure of doing a spread for a very special couple who were celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their lake house. This board featured several different cheese selections, a variety of meat and crackers, some fruit, tasty jams, and a customized “50” as the centerpiece filled with even more goodies!
