This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating a wedding for the beautiful Kara Stooksbury and her new hubby, Brad. This wedding was TWO YEARS in the making and a great deal of planning went into every detail to make sure their vision came to life.

The venue was gorgeous. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Bell Mare in Galien, Michigan. I also had the pleasure of sharing the day with some of the nicest, most helpful vendors I have ever worked with. From the venue owners, to the florist, to the photographers/videographers….the DJ to the bakery and caterers…EVERYONE worked together as a team to make the bride and groom’s day perfect. There was even a live painter, which was a big hit with the guests.

This couple did so many DIY aspects with all their decor and special details ahead of time that when it came to the big day, it was my job to ensure everything came together EXACTLY how they envisioned it. I was entrusted with communicating with all the vendors and making sure we kept to the couple’s timeline as well as decorating the entire venue from top to bottom (literally…since there were 2 floors).

I can’t thank my “assistant” (aka my amazing husband, Jeff) enough for helping me execute every single detail, being my laborer for all the heavy lifting, and just being my constant support system while I follow my dreams! I couldn’t do it without him!!

It was a perfect weekend for a wedding and a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. and Mrs. Stooksbury! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day! And a giant shout out to Erin Ackley for referring me to this great couple and for always supporting me/my business! ❤️

Who doesn’t love a little lakeside charcuterie?! Friendly reminder…I not only party plan, I do custom charcuterie boards for all occasions! This past weekend, I had the pleasure of doing a spread for a very special couple who were celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their lake house. This board featured several different cheese selections, a variety of meat and crackers, some fruit, tasty jams, and a customized “50” as the centerpiece filled with even more goodies! To all the women out there who are absolutely killin’ it…to the women who get up every morning, put on a brave face, smile through the tears or insecurities, and choose to take on the world…to the women who overcome anxiety, depression, and mental health issues and choose to fiercely battle their demons despite how hard it can be…to the women who are mothers and to those wishing they could be mothers, to the ones who are stay at home parents and to the ones who are professional career women…finally to the women who support other women emotionally, verbally, mentally, and more: this day is for you!

I now have the pleasure of working with a super sweet couple to help ensure their wedding is everything they dream of and more on May 31st, 2025!

It’s so crazy to me that I met this bride’s best friend randomly, gave her my contact information, she passed it along to the bride, and BAM! Let the wedding coordinating festivities begin! ❤️ So beyond grateful that I get to do what I am passionate about in life and so excited to work with this awesome couple!

This past weekend there was so much to be thankful for, and not just because it was Thanksgiving!

Not only was I still able to spend the holiday with friends and family and still get in my Black Friday shopping, but I got to coordinate/decorate a beautiful wedding right outside of Indianapolis!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. and Mrs. Johns! Thank you for trusting me to take your vision and make it a reality! Wishing you and your family a lifetime of happiness! And a special THANK YOU to Sue Jessen Price for all of your continued support and for allowing me to be a part of this special day!! It means so much to me!

Thank you to Victoria's Cake Pops for the absolutely stunning cake and desserts for the sweets table! I will always sing your praises, because you continue to go above and beyond to make sure EVERY single sweet treat is absolutely perfect, and I love that I can say “here’s the colors or theme, just do your thing” and you’ve always exceeded my expectations! So happy I got to be your first wedding cake and I know there will be many more to come!

I honestly couldn’t have done it without my forever wedding date/assistant, my schnuggle bunny, Jeffrey! Thank you for putting up with me when I am in full blown event planning mode and being so helpful and supportive!

I know it’s been a HOT minute since I last posted, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been a busy bee! I threw a few spooktacular Halloween extravaganzas (including a Beetlejuice themed dinner party). I have also been hard at work planning two weddings for two very different, but equally AMAZING, brides! I am so grateful and excited I get to travel for both of their special days and be a part of all the magical moments that are going to unfold!

I am starting to book dates for 2024, so if you need an event planner…I’m your gal! There is no such thing as an event that is “too small”! I work with every style, size, theme, and budget. Mark Your Calendar is always here for ya!

My newest obsession: mini tabletop ice sculptures! Who knew that was a thing?! My first attempt was a dolphin that was being used as the centerpiece for a shrimp boil, and because y’all already know I put the EXTRA in extravaganza, I added some blue dye and a light to really make a “splash” 🐬

Dun dun dun dun dunnnn…you know what that means….SHARK WEEK IS HERE! Time for FIN-tastic food and themed drinks.

This year we went all out with a mini shrimp boil complete with shark fin biscuits and a specialty cocktail: The Deep Blue Sea

My pups (well actually only Gizmo because Greta wasn’t having it with the costumes) and my husband got into the sharky spirit. We were quite the CHUMmy little family this evening!

Had the most amazing time celebrating my little cousin’s high school graduation! I want to give a HUGE shout out to to Victoria's Cake Pops for the AMAZING desserts! I can honestly say, there wasn’t a single sweet left on the table at the end of the night, which is unheard of for any event! The custom cake pops, strawberries, Oreos, Rice Krispie treats, and pretzels were such a hit!!!

Credit and shout out to Calumet Bakery as well! The cupcakes are ALWAYS a crowd favorite, and the whipped cream topping is so delicious!

Gotta love any occasion that brings family, friends, food, and fun together!
