How many of us get to say we truly love what we do?

Yesterday I went to The Secret Garden Estate on Tamborine Mountain, a gorgous property, where I joined a talented team all there helping to ensure our loved up couple Bailey and Rhianna enjoyed a memorable day.

This photo was taken while I was chatting away to the guests and to the side of me I could hear my beautiful bride and groom having a quiet conversation lost in their own little world while their loved ones looked on, some with tears in their eyes and others with beaming smiles, all full of love and positive vibes for the couple.

To be part of such a special occasion makes my heart happy ♡

This was my first time wearing a hat in my role as celebrant... 11am on a hot sunny day, in an open area.
The couple had chosen a country theme and I knew the groom was going to be wearing an Akubra so I felt ok about donning the head gear for this particular ceremony and I wasnt alone as quite a few of the guests wore hats too.

Plenty of couples consider wet weather options for their day but when you choose a date that falls within the hotter part of the year, especially here in Queensland, then an extreme heat plan is also something to think about.

♡Can your ceremony be set up under a tree?

♡Is there an air conditioned building onsite that you can make use of?

♡Can your start time be later in the afternoon to avoid the hottest part of the day?

♡Could you supply paper fans for the guests or use market umbrellas as part of your decor?

A casual country vibe was the vision Sharyn and Tim had for their wedding day and they pulled it off brilliantly with hay bales, sunflowers, Akubra's and arriving in 4x4 style.

A surprise visit from a resident tree snake during the group photo changed everyone's cheers to squeals for a while there but that just added to the authentic country experience!
