We swapped from plan A to plan B and back again yesterday because the sky colour and radar didnt look promising, but in the end Rue and Betty were able to marry in the courtyard of Victoria Park just like they dreamed.

The Vic Park team were all hands on deck moving florals from upstairs to down, making sure all the chairs were dry, rolling out the carpet and we managed to start perfectly on time.

The rain started just as the wedding party drove off in the golf buggy for photos but rainy pics can be fun if you're prepared to embrace the weather.
Can't wait to see what they all got up to. ♡

What is a Ring Warming?

It's a simple but meaningful addition to a ceremony where the couples rings are passed around to either a special few guests, or sometimes everyone. Each person holds the ring box for a moment while making a quiet wish or blessing for the couple so that when the rings are ready to exchange they've been filled with good vibes from those who mean the most.

Graeme and Christine eloped recently and chose to include a ring warming with their two children, captured beautifully by their photographer Kylie.

I love a good confetti toss, and this photo from Bill and Lou's elopement shows that their kids really enjoyed it too.

Here at BTTC we use either hand punched gum leaf confetti or dried petals, all from our own garden.
