We traveled up to Point Reyes, Ca for this shoot and saw the dreamiest, butteriest and most golden sunset ever. I simply love this shoot 🥹🖤🔥

I hope everyone who celebrated with Tacos this weekend had a great time. One thing about us is we are taco people. We spent yesterday recharging after a busy week and a wedding. We were up early but we felt like we slept for a year, that’s the best feeling. We ran some errands, got Lonnie a coffee and swung by our local La Superior store for home made salsas and tortillas. It made the day that much better! I made some home made pico and honestly just enjoyed not being in the rush of things. Today I am back at it but love those sweet moments when we can be super present with one another!
Had the opportunity to be on 93Q Radio this morning and it was the best! Love being able to share our hearts with the community. Thank you Bob!

When I look at you I see unlimited amounts of potential. I see all the goodness that God has in store for your life and it’s all untapped my friend. Although you may be planning a wedding, building a business or taking care of sweet babies you are an elite brand of person. I know so.
2. You’re Beautiful. 🔥
Smoking hot in fact. I don’t see your weight, your facial hair, your gray hair or your cracked heels….I just see a beautiful soul who needs to know that your stunning the way you are. Instagram is full of fake b***s, butts, perfect eye brows and fast cars but you have to understand when you put your phone down and look at the world around you…you’re perfect. Your someone’s dream body, your someone’s ideal weight, your eye color is someone’s desire. Be happy in your skin sis, you’re too cute to be sad.
3. Let God have control.🖤
You may be wondering, off kilter, feeling angry, lost, unfocused or unmotivated but babe…God has you. Stop trying to make everything perfect, your control issue is actually killing your vibe. We are our own worst enemies but if we let go, let God and trust that He always makes good on his promises then we can live in a peace that surpasses understanding. There is so much power in prayer and in you because the Lord never gives up on us. 🙌🏻

I walked in to a bridal shop expecting to not find a wedding dress I would like. 8 years ago wedding dresses hadn’t quite brought the plus size wedding dresses into a stylish fashion. All the dresses I liked were not in my size but I was okay, I was so happy to marry Lonnie I would have been fine with something on Amazon. While walking out of the store the stylist said, “Kayla..have you thought about a bridesmaid dress?”. I walked back in and the first dress she pulled out I walked down the aisle in. It was around $350 and perfect.
I will never forget how beautiful I felt in it, how light it was and how happy I was to have found the dress. I have it in my closet and look at it often with a smile, the joy of our wedding day was everything. I wish all you ladies the same feeling! 👰♀️

It’s been quite the year and when we get into the hustle, the grind and business I forget to rest. I forget to drink water and sleep but never forget that I love seeing a bride light up when she sees herself for the first time. I never forget that I get to spend all day with the very reason I started doing weddings, and I never forget the accomplishment I feel when I take my camera straps off at the end of the night.
I am so thankful for the last 14 years and cannot believe I have celebrated over 250 weddings. 🥂
