I was working with my nutritionist hat on yesterday.
Helping britebox project @ Kings Oak Primary School together with our dietetics placement student @ Alberto from metropolitan in promoting the National Healthy Eating week .
Helping to man the 5 day station where children were encouraged to make fruit & veg kebabs using a rainbow of colours whilst Alberto was moving with Joe Wicks video helping to keep kids fit @ kingsoakprimaryschool

The Community Brain and Kitchen Roots Community UPDATE

We have some sad news. Over this weekend a main water pipe burst in the property above the Museum of Futures. This is an old building and it took some time for the landlord, and in the end Thames Water, to turn off the flow meaning the damage is extensive. This has affected the property as well as our kitchen equipment, supplies and stores. As a result there will be no Kitchen Roots Community Meal tomorrow or Wednesday this week.

We are now trying to work out a way forward looking at alternative sites and equipment. We are naturally upset at the impact this flood has caused but remain hopeful that we will find a way forward. As always thank you for your support.

Focused on breakfast ideas - with oats . Made savoury flapjacks , sweet potato frittata , very berry porridge & masala porridge.
